just after discovering a Hoover washing machine 828417 on the site and was wondering if anybody heard if they will be trying to sell large kitchen items as the other QVC channels do . a few Hoover items on QVC US and Germanys site

QVC white Goods never seem to air very often, I suspect they are not very popular.

Talk about overpriced QVC, same washer (I think) from Empire Direct http://http://www.empiredirect.co.uk/content/products/details/index~modelcode~HOO-VHD964ZD~dept~washing~subdept~WASHERS~brand~hoover.htm for £429 ( its Introductory Price £549.48 normally £604.50 at QVC) and you still have to wait 10 to 14 WORKING days. I've just replaced my washer so did alot of research recently.

ahh but is that with the 5 year warranty as well like the QVC one and here is the link to it as that link does not work

Just had a quick look at the Hoover website and it looks like the 5year warranty is standard.

You get 5 years with every Hotpoint washer, years 2-5 only cover parts and not labour.

They used to sell washing machines many years ago

yes as i`ve said the QVC one comes with a 5 yr parts warranty and 5 yr labour warranty worth £180 according to them

I'd rather take my chances. My current washing machine didn't break down at all in the first 5 years. And anyway, I've got a great litle local repairman who doesn't charge a fortune and usually comes out the same day - he could do quite a few repairs for £180!

My old washer was a Hoover, lasted 5 and half years without any repairs then the whole drum went so it wasn't worth the cost of repairing so the warranty would have been a waste of expense. My latest is a Hotpoint, the difference is immense, would never go back to a Hoover as my clothes are so much cleaner than the Hoover ever was. For the price difference, I would rather have a Hotpoint with the same specs at £470 (Aqualtis) and use the 5 year parts guarantee that comes with it anyway. Then I could consider the labour costs with a smaller priced warranty if I wanted. (which I have)
