Keeley from Elemis has just suggested that we can embalm ourselves with the Lime & Ginger Body Balm! :mysmilie_505::mysmilie_505::mysmilie_505:

She's like Nelly Pledge!!

LOL Thanks for that memory Lemon, I used to love Nearest & Dearest. :mysmilie_483:Uhm, Keely could well look like Nellie in years to come, same sort of hair.....

Nearest and Dearest. What a wonderful comedy that was!

Keeley, bless her-she's just come out with another one. She said she'd never seen some of the 'conflagrations' of the products in the 10pm hour.

She's just one of the loveliest guests...

Ooooh I was sat sitting there all prostitute....best "Nelly Plegism" ever!!!

OMG would you let her loose on your facials...... the woman is thick, sorry to be so nasty, but she is sooooooo stupid. What's all this P HHHHHHHaitch she keeps going on about? does she not know tha the "h" is silent and it is just aaaaitch. Stop with the "HHHHHHHHHaitch" it just isn't correct pronunciation. I have to say she reminds me of a very naieve 10 year old. For heavens sake woman get a grip.:doh:Alison doesn't help either, she is just as vacant and stupid..........:doh::doh::doh::doh:

I only just remember Nearest and Dearest, might try to get hold of a DVD as I love those seventies sitcoms. Nelly reminds me of a distant old aunt of mine, now long gone, whose airs and graces led her to claim that her favourite piece of music was 'Eclair de Gloom'...

Thank you, Thank you. I work in a school and I'm determined to get all these children who sloppily insist on saying Haitch to learn to say Aitch. Nobody seems to correct them [but me] because everyone seems to be making the same mistake. Funny thing is, they still say 'OUSE, 'OME, 'OSPITAL. Standards are getting so low. [And don't say it is accepted in different parts of England 'cos it AINT!] When I was in primary school, our teacher specialised in Speech and Drama and at the end of the day, used to make us do exercises, speaking rhymes to remember how to pronounce sounds. eg Red leather, yellow leather and My thread is too thick, my thread is too thin so this is the thing to do...etc. I'm sure there was one for AITCH too because I know that she used to go berserk if we said HAITCH.

It made me laugh in one of the shows with AY when a viewre called in saying she couldn't use the Nourishing Milk Bath in hard water. Keeley, bless her, tried to get around this by asking her if she got the TSV with the shower creme in it. Viewer confirmed she had so Keeley said that she could use the shower creme as a shower creme (well done!) and use the milk bath for bathing in and she would then see that this would overcome the problem with the hard water??? Someone pass that viewer an egg to suck on please. x

What!!?? She's not the sharpest knife in the drawer is she?? :headbang:

LOL Your Aunt sounds like she was great fun. You've set me off now with the dvds, just ordered this.

I remember her saying "Oooooo I must get a second hand put on this watch"!!!!

I actually like Keeley, she's 'normal', not overmade up, no acrylic nails, and not a size 8 either. OK, she may not be the Brain of Britain, but I like her naturalness.

(mum writes)

I like Keeley. I met her once and she was just so nice. Even though she was rushing off somewhere but she didn't hesitate to show her new baby photos and chat for a minute. And I'd trust her with a facial more than AY now that's she's admitted to using the Decleor Circulargel on people's busts and faces just because they didn't remember her name. That is most unprofessional. I'm certainly glad I've never been for a spa treatment if that's the sort of thing that goes on. If that isn't warped behaviour then I don't know what is. Did anyone else see this?

Thank you both. I'm glad I'm not the only one in the country who cringes every time someone says HAITCH instead of AITCH.

I noticed the haitch thing too. A lot of people do that but it is wrong.

Sorry I just seem to be repeating what others have said but if I read to the end of the thread before posting I forget what I was going to say!

Whilst on the subject of pronunciation has anyone else noticed AY and A Bagley when they quote the price it is Thirdy five pounds or Twenny threee pounds and thirdy two pence.....drives me bonkers literally It can't be that difficult to speak properly

She was! Her daughter, now in her eighties, is still very much with us and just as daft, when she married in the late 1950s she had her dog as a bridesmaid (complete with massive red bow round its neck.) Bats in the belfry that side of my family.

Must say I like Keeley too, even though I'm not a great Elemis fan, she keeps it real.

It seems it is virtually impossible for a large percentage of the population. In fact you run the risk of being insulted and laughed at for "talking proper" (as well as eliciting a response of total non comprehension) now. I think the English language is a thing of infinite beauty and the widespread sloppy use of it is diminishing it's power.
