"new Rocks TV set"

Hi folks - just got back from hols to find a nasty new set and no chatroom - can anyone tell me if this is permanent?

Not sure about the set - apparently it might change - 'dodges pig poo' and chat is permanently no more - read chat went poof and related threads and you will see why - apparently

Yep! Like looking into a black hole...with the presenter waaayy over exposed with lighting! Even Scotty last week commented that the lighting was brighter in there...t'was highlighting parts he'd rather not have highlighted! :happy:

I'm half expecting Gordon the Gopher to make an appearance as it is so like The Broom Cupboard..... :thinking:

Having an enquiring mind (Argeyese for nosey), I flicked over to see the set. I see they have now blacked out the wall behind the presenters so you don't see the people in the call centre but now you see a reflection of the presenter in the wall and it looks awful, back of Alan's shirt appears to be glowing at the moment!!!

Sorry about the glass, it has got a coloured film over it which was supposed to give the glass colour and not be quite so see through but we made a mistake and the film is too thick so it looks black!!

They are coming back in a couple of days to take it off and start again.

Hopefully it will look better then!

Another problem is the presenters are too near the back wall so it makes the studio looks really tiny and everything looks cramped.

just when you thought it couldn't get worse the glass wall now has a red laminate - can't make my mine up whether it makes me think of some gorfest, internal organs or makes me think of a certain area of Amsterdam - dire and not helped by the endless "bargains" ..........

That's a really good idea argey :clapping: ! Comparing the sets on Gems and Jewelry Maker, they are so much brighter than Rocks is at the moment. And as you say Sazza, the set is too cramped. Why can't the bit behind the presenters be pushed further back? With the small space and dark wall, the studio looks really claustrophobic!

Good grief! Anjo, my thoughts exactly - tuned in tonight after a long day out and thought I had maybe strayed to a "specialist" channel, expecting perhaps to see a scantily clad figure sitting in the window behind the presenter..... made me laugh however!
