P Simon really is a pain in the a**e with his usual this is quite simply nonsense and just buy it tripe watched him on this vibrating plate nonsense last night, his wobbling thighs when he pulls up his shorts is nothing short of puke inducing and should not be allowed on tv rant over
You didn’t deserve to witness his short pulling stunt, it’s unseemly.

I see the human claw is putting a crafty spin on details about that cheapo Alcatel tablet.
"This is the only tablet in the U.K with Oreo Go on it. It allows you to fit more on by making apps smaller"
All true, and sounds great to the unknowing viewers I'm sure. What she of course fails to mention, is the rather critical bit of information that Oreo Go is designed for low end gear.
While it should be obvious to viewers that the price should mean it is indeed low end gear. IW like to tout the tablet as being all singing and all dancing. The implication that you are getting something unique with Oreo Go is true, but also really misleading.

Just changing tack slightly, about 2-3 months ago, I purchased 5 litres of the Spear and Jackson, "Spray and leave", and I previously said I will report on it when I use it. Well, yesterday I sprayed it, and will be leaving it for the next 10 days while away from home. I sprayed the gutters, conservatory, and metal frame garden shed and wooden fence and garden seat, all of which were showing a years worth of green gunk build up. I am interested to see if it saves me a day's worth of manual cleaning as is usually the case. For an honest report, on its performance, I will leave it here for all forumites. So Lloyd, lets hope it lives up to the hype!

I bought some similar stuff off eBay about four years ago. it was much cheaper than Ideal's offering, and you only had to put half the amount of it per gallon into the spray bottle compared to the Spear and Jackson stuff. It worked great, and I could see a big difference on the fence panels I'd sprayed in just a couple of hours. The trouble was, it only had a two year shelf life. I used the same old stuff last year and it did nothing. I wonder if the Ideal stuff has the same shelf life?

I used the full 5 litres, and was generous on all needed areas, and finished it up with a second coating. I was happy about the amount I was able to spray. I am looking forward to seeing the results when I return home. If it works as well as portrayed, then I will use it again. A further update around the middle of the month!

Apparently, back in the 70’s, Canada Dry sold a Vodka Mixer called ‘Vostok’.

Yesterday I submitted a review to IW for one of those awful Mathey Tissot Chronographs. You know the ones, those that cost around £2,700. Unfortunately my review was rejected! Probably because It was a little less than complimentary, well actually it was scathing. I just found it strange that there was a review on there from a Dave Loydon, saying what a wonderful watch it is. The thing is, he has a rave review not only for the stainless steel version, but also for the PVD coated version too. He also has another more than favourable review for a similar just as ugly Mathey Tissot non-chrono.
Are we really to believe that this person has purchased all three of these horrors at a cost of over £6,200?! Not only these three pieces, but he has reviews on lots of Vostok Europe watches too! Surely no one, not even a millionaire would spend so much money on these things. It leads me to believe that a lot of these 5 star reviews are completely bogus.

Dave Loydon seems to be their number one mug punter - Kevin often refers to him , and there is a little bit of video which they sometimes show , apparently of him when he visited the studio.
From what I remember his reviews are very naïve and I think he is the modern equivalent of Lee from Ventnor- an impressionable person who is happy to spend inordinate amounts of money because he has been seduced by the claptrap spewed out by he presenters.
Did you buy the Mathey Tissot and then send it back ?

Blackstone is poised to sell off the Ideal World home shopping channel for less than half the price it paid for the business.
The world’s largest private equity firm has appointed advisers from Deloitte to find a buyer quickly for the channel’s parent company Ideal Shopping Direct, which operates channels selling products on Sky, Freeview and Virgin Media.
The business has previously exploited the rapid growth of the “crafting” market, which focuses on pursuits such as embroidery, cake decorating, knitting and card making. Yet its trading is said to have been suffering more recently. Companies House records show that Michael Hancox, 52, the chief executive of Ideal Shopping Direct since 2008, left the business on May 30.
City sources claim the business could be sold for less than £100m, with the likely buyers thought to include turnaround funds and restructuring specialists. Blackstone bought the company for £200m in 2015 from private equity firm Inflexion.
Ideal Shopping Direct was previously listed on the AIM market. Inflexion backed a £78.3m management buyout, led by Hancox, in 2011. The move to take it private followed a series of profit warnings.
