I switched on twice yesterday only for minutes, first it was the dreadful Deknees with fashion:mysmilie_17: and later to see the dirty little man stretched out on a chair. I can't imagine how that channel are still on air....

Loen and Rachel were dumped on to C&C as their sales technique isn't "aggressive" enough.

In recent memory, the jukebox show with Gen and Janice was truly shocking...such junk, they had to put a microphone in front of it because it's sound was so poor. Also rubbish dancing and gaffs galore.

Creepy Crawley is a jumped up prat with no charisma. Also did anyone else notice the junk pick of the day chairs were scrapped after just the 3rd show at 8am...OUCH!.

Oh yes and I'm sure Jason is busy working hard in his and Shaun's country boozer but never the less he should get a mention.

And finally I just had a thought how our IW chef trio of Brodel, Remblance and Kennelly would fare going on materchef :mysmilie_46:

Joking aside, it's sneaky of them to keep on saying bonded leather this, bonded leather that. They are evidently repeating the phrase in an attempt to convince the viewer that, because it's a 'bonded' leather product it is therefore superior. I come back to what I've said before, yes anyone with any savvy will Google what bonded leather is if they don't already know. However there will be a portion of viewers that are taken in by this. Now of course you can say 'well more fool them' however not everyone uses the Internet, not everyone is naturally skeptical, and it is those viewers that are likely to be taken in by this sales technique. 'Oh it's bonded leather dear (not knowing what that actually means) I think we should buy one.'

It does have quite a nice ring to it, bonded leather, and that's why they keep on saying it throughout the pitch. Reaffirm reaffirm reaffirm and we'll get orders from the 1% of our viewers that fall for it.

Indeed Merry, this most recent sale included assembly as it came with their 'Platinum' delivery service and boy did they make a song and dance about it. The trouble is that more often than not it doesn't.

So after all that talk of 'aches and pains', 'ooh I can't get out of my chair' and 'ooh my legs are so stiff these days' they just dump some big boxes on your floor for you to sort out :down:

You 'ain't seen nothing yet, adam. After Christmas, it'll be weeks and weeks of fitness equipment, just like last year (or should I say the early part of this year!). I think it was well into spring this year before they stopped showing that carp nearly every day, by which time we were all comatose with boredom.

What he actually meant is that it isn't coming back for at least another 5 minutes after the presentation ends....by which time, they will have got another million of them from out of the warehouse and the saga will begin all over again... :giggle:

I was watching one of those shows with Creepy Crawley and Peter Simon, they gave me the impression that two delivery guys will turn up, put it where I want and assemble it, then not leave until they have proven it all works.

I assume this is not true. But they did say it.
 
Its Vostok time again folks.....just for a change.
Kevin has just had to stop himself from saying that one of the watches was the last as it has been discon.......ooops the last of the stock available, we all know it has been discontinued kevin.
They keep saying they have all the stock available in the UK but amazon tells a different story.

Amazon have many of the watches by Vostok Europe seen on Ideal at least 25-30% cheaper if you are in need of overpriced gaudy watches.

What is more, Vostok are about the best Watches that IW sells.

And please Mr Kevinski, will you please stop calling sub dials, eyes!! You sound as daft as that Paul Becque character.
 
Yes these watches could be purchased more cheaply but then the years of knowledge of Kev and his compatriots would be missed. Don't be concerned about the maestro of the mainspring mis-naming watch parts,dodgy overpriced merchandise,or even dodgier salesmen.Mr.Kev tells us stock cannot be repeated after a sellout as these timepieces are rare . Obviously discerning customers and knowledgeable collectors have been falling over their own a**** to get a bit of the action.Surely that must account for the validity of Kev.Some of us haven't ...partaken.One day ;maybe not in this year maybe not in the next ;that stock will go never ever to return and then..............



.... he'll get some more!!

It was touch and go last night whether the ordinary punters would get a look in with the Vostok watches. At one point Peter Simon declared that the collectors had been ‘bulk buying’, grabbing up to five watches in one go! Perhaps that’s why Kevinski congratulates Ideal viewers when they’ve managed to secure a watch? As well as Peter warning us about the dealers, Kevinski was also kind enough to tell us that it was ‘first come, first served’, such was the incredible value of the watches on offer:giggle:

Again they are saying all the collectors are buying in bulk....smells like bullshyte to me.
Peter has just said there are very few made of the gaz-14 limited to 3000? How is that very few made!

Quick you have 22 mins to grab a vostok for £222.00 but made by citizen, but hang on why not just buy a citizen watch and save £100.
