Beauty Bash January 2015

So does anyone know all the dates to the beauty bash? Was it on anyone's invite?
Thanks.

There was one lady who used to write regularly on JR's blog who was a client of Keeley's and even appeared on Q having treatments with Keeley (lucky lady) who had been to many BB's having been invited by Q over the years. I can remember she wrote on JR's blog about how she had taken a box of cakes and one Q customer arrived at the Elemis stand and helped herself to one of the cakes that she had bought for them and not for consumption by the general public...I couldn't help thinking how awful that customer would have felt if she had read that, I mean if they were laid out on a plate, who wouldn't have scoffed one? :mysmilie_5:

She then had a right old moan on JR's blog about not getting an invite last year. JR replied that it was the luck of the draw and they, Q, were obviously giving customers, who were not invited before the chance to, but they still had tickets to purchase, if she was interested. I think she replied, having got the right hump, saying that considering the amount £100's, no £1000's she has spent over the years she thought she should have had an invite and she would not buy a ticket! She has never written on JR's blog since.

For one, she was very lucky to be invited to the studio to appear with Keeley and have all the treatments done, meet the presenters, but to think that because of that and having been invited numerous times before to the BB's, she had the right to an invite above all the other thousands, nay millions of customers beggers belief.

Sorry if she's a writer on here, but I could not get over the fact that she thought she was better than everyone else and worthy of an invite, when there are no doubt others who have spent equally as much as her over the years and never had as much as a sniff of a ticket...it brought it all back to me reading this thread. :mysmilie_17:

Last year I won a set in a competition on QVC's website but the date clashed with an event I was organising and was completely gutted. I noticed there was someone posting on here that she really, really wanted to go and contacted her privately offering her my tickets. I sent her the two tickets with my compliments and was happy that I'd made someone's day. She never wrote back and said thank you so I was a little upset by her lack of manners. The karma has come back to me this year as I received the letter yesterday inviting me to attend! :)

Well done Anna, hope you can go this time and as the sayings goes 'every dog has its day!' :mysmilie_7:

I hope you have a lovely day Janette, and win a raffle prize to boot! How rude to not say thank you!

Oh yes, that reminds me, even if you fancy sloping off early it's worth hanging on for the raffle, there are some great prizes (although I think the old NewYearNewYou event had bigger raffle prizes). Down side is having to listen to Alison or another presenter being "amusing"! :mysmilie_17:

How rude! Hope she had a crap day then.

If by chance I received an invite in the post is it possible for me to pass this one to someone on the forum?

I would be worried about someone travelling all that way and being turned away because it was someone elses ticket.

If I should receive one and anyone is prepared to take the chance it will be up for grabs.

I used to get lots of invites to jewellery days but never was able to go but havent received an invite for quite a while.

I was under the impression that you were not able to give your ticket to another person, maybe someone can enlighten me.

They say that the tickets aren't transferable but as you go in they only ask for the main ticket holder's name. I've never been asked for my customer number probably because people don't remember it out of context.

If anyone wants to trade tickets I'd recommend doing it in the relative seclusion of The Drop. If anyone passes on a ticket for 1 person plus guest maybe they could have one of the goody bags, or dibs on one or two of the ranges they use or want to try from it.

Back to the subject of hubbies, the pay-off for taking a man who may moan and grumble a bit, is that you'll get two goody bags! If you go as a singleton they won't let you take another for a friend, no matter how sad a sob story you tell them (I've heard a few LOL)

If anyone is going on the Tuesday morning and wants to meet up just PM me and we'll decide how to organise the rendez-vous. By far my favourite NYNY event was the one when a handful of Forumites met up at the do and got on so well we went for a meal afterwards. Good to put a face to a name. I'd suggest we meet after the doors open to give time for everyone to book their treatments, nail painting etc before all the slots are taken.

Ooh, Jude, hadn't thought about the advantage of taking other half! Two goody bags! And often the contents are different! Could park him in the coffee place and browse to my hearts content. Problem is, have already messaged the niece, sister and cousin to see if they want to join me....whoops!

D'you know I can't remember? I suspect LipstickCherry and I stood out because she is a tall brunette and I'm a short blonde. I think we just PM'd roughly what we'd be wearing on the day. Have a fab time on the Wednesday session, I'll try to post asap after I get home on the Tuesday evening to let you know where the best freebies are (regardless of them saying there'll be nothing handed out apart from in the goody bags, there were a few vendors giving out items in the room - Mally was one and Prai).

IF I get an invite I will definitely go! Here's hoping, but don't suppose even I buy enough. I did go to a 'Do' at QVC in Chiswick & when I said I had travelled from Manchester the 'Southern ladies' nearly fell off their chairs--I did say Manchester UK & probably got there quicker than those from the Home Counties!

I got home last night to find an empty doormat :( Hopefully mine is just delayed in the post. lol!

Saying that, the a/c isn't in my name, it's in my OH and if I went again I would want my Mum to come with me, so I dunno if that would be able to happen...

Akimbo I'm going Tuesday morning. It would be great to meet up with someone who knows the ropes. I'm a tall Brunette if that helps! ;)

I remember someone on the QVC Facebook page offer their ticket free as they couldn't go. QVC came on and said the ticket was linked to that person and they had to contact QVC who would allocate the ticket via a draw.

Oops, sorry, my reply was meant for Janette not Anna...now don't I feel like a numpty :mysmilie_487:

They are a bit precious about the whole thing so I'd recommend people get in touch via The Drop or PM. I suppose if they get wind of ticket shenanigans they could block someone going into the venue, but there are no real checks on the door, proof of id or anything so if it's all done on the quiet there shouldn't be a problem.

DD I'll get in touch about wearing a red eye patch and carrying a copy of the Socialist Worker under your arm!

K so I just tried to reply to the BB and it got a recording saying it has reached it's full capacity lol.
