Who is the worst chef?

dare I say ''worst'' is Chef William even though he comes across as the most genuine if such a thing in shopping telly is possible.

always calm and relaxed, whilst giving the impression he knows very little.

He's delightful isn't he? I love watching him for the entertainment value if not for menu ideas.

But I'd rather watch William than listen to a crank like Poo Poo who, for some inexplicable reason, thinks he is someone who has the character & gravitas one really needs to possess to be offering lifestyle advice.

We are talking about Poo Poo Griffiths. A man whose career high was appearing in a Woolite commercial, a decade ago.

He should concentrate on getting his (false?) teeth fixed, either that or his gums have shrunk. Maybe Poo Poo has been eating too many sweets? He's much in the same vein as GOLLUM. Both like to lecture, both have terrible teeth and both have physiques that make Rick Hay look butch.

Tutt Tutt Poo Poo, forget the Fibre and get some Colgate. And Seabond :mysmilie_59:

I'd say chef William is harmless, same goes for chef jack on hochanda (formerly of bid)

I miss Chef Wayne! No-one has ever served up raw "cooked" food like he used to. Come on IW, bring him back!

Spare a thought for ‘Chef’ William:mysmilie_46: when he appears on Ideal later.

I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s one of his biggest challenges yet, and he’ll need to call upon every ounce of all that hard won culinary experience. Tonight he grapples with that highly specialist kitchen device, commonly known as a pie maker.

Now say what you like about 'Chef' William, he does have this uncanny knack of inadvertently exposing the shortcomings of kitchen products. I can’t think of anyone else who has done more to prove the maxim that ‘idiot proof cooking’ isn’t necessarily idiot proof.

(There’s a good chance that he’ll confirm this maxim again today, with dodgy crusts and dubious fillings featuring during the pie maker demonstrations.)

I will be listening out for what type of pastry he recommends, he said choux on the bottom and puff on the top last time :wonder:

Holy mackerel! you don't make a pie out of choux pastry!

Last night Gollum made his attempt at a joke, 'chef' William didn't respond, he was busy doing something with the pie maker. Gollum side glanced him with a curled lip, looked to the camera and swiped his hand over his head, as if his wonderful joke had gone right over William's head. Did anybody else see him?

His attempt at a joke wasn't worthy of any respone anyway imo. He really does think he's somebody!

Unfortunately this is what a confused GOLLUM will always do when people don't get his 'humour', which is often. Now, any self thinking, independent person with a little self awareness might just get the message that some new material is needed.

I admire his GODDESS for taking him in, training him and building up his confidence but there's a danger that people may perhaps start to find his act just a little bit on the predictable side.

It's clear she needs to teach him some new tricks :mysmilie_59:

What happened to the pie maker it hasn't been on since this morning. :mysmilie_46:

I know how many times has he lost (been congratulated) then put on and the cycle continues, I know most of us (I include myself) who are on the 'portly' side go up and down, but he seems to lose a lot quite quickly and then put it on just as quickly it surely can't be good for him. I remember him on Shop! (The Value Channel) (I am showing my age :)) and he was just as bad then.

To me it didn't look as though it was cooking the pastry that well. 'Chef' was using lashings of gravy/cream as soon as he cut the pies open. I wonder if it was pulled?

Unless Gollum really did punch William's lights out and he couldn't make the rest of the day :mysmilie_46:

It has got to be William...its worth watching any show he does purely for a gaff which is lurking around the corner. Seems like a nice guy though.
