Brendan should be joining in, in the 6 pm hour.

yep, that should be a hoot,
i have the impression that he is the mad professor type
and should be interesting too,
provided Alison Young will let him get enough words in edgeways,
she may respect him,
but will probably try to impress him as THE RESIDENT BEAUTY EXPERT,
and she is usually, at least when i have paid attention,
quite dismissive and a bit oppressive towards men

could be a fun hour, entertainment wise
but i would love to pick up a few tips too

haha, Brandon did not last long on the show
having nearly lost his voice after interviews with journalists yesterday

to be fair, Alison was very respectful imo

Yes that guest was rather strange, to say the least. She looked like a porn actress! Or maybe what you might get if you fused Holly Willoughby with Claire Sutton's DNA in the lab. I don't understand why she kept talking about innovation in mobile 'phone technology. Sorry, but what does that have to do with skincare products?

it has to with the business model and the approach to innovation
NIOD's approach is to be leading edge as possible
and innovate when when new technology/ingredients etc exist,
even though that means that they give away the existing stock of the earlier version
i have seen them do it with the Multi Molecular Hyaluronic Acid Serum and the SDSM Mist,
was given to customers in Deciem stores with any purchase

this is not how the Beauty Industry normally works,
releasing a product and then marketing and selling it for 10 to 20 years
to maximise profit from the same fomula, packaging, marketing
i.e. trusty but not leading edge
and trusty may well be what many peeps want
and what makes higher profit margins for those beauty cos
but some peeps also like innovation and a fast turnaround to market,
hence those will recognise and appreciate that leading edge business model

btw Nicola Kilner, the 'guest who looked like a porn actress'
(?)
is the CO CEO at Deciem
possibly has the hottest and one of the most Senior jobs in the Beauty Industry right now
and before this she had a very senior position at Boots as Director of Innovation

Ali seems to be brain dead tonight saying 'for you' all the time and out of context.

Surely she should invest in some voice and media training then?

See the hair is back to the blond all the way and the landing strips shiny happy shimmer highlighter is back. I flicked over to see the 6pm show and thought I need to put my sun glasses on with AY's highlighter.

Not read the whole thread, but I am sure its been mentioned Estee Lauder have now bought into the company(Deciem also own The Ordinary).

Deciem announced on Facebook that Estee Lauder had aquired a minority stake in the company - this led to nearly 1,000 replies most of which were negative! Brandon then replied

'We are now back in our peaceful and messy village. Yesterday was an emotional day for us and for you. We know many of you are questioning whether or not we will change who we are. And there is no grey area in this subject: nothing changes. Our structure is the same, our team is the same, Brandon is the same (please help ) and we control our destiny. We will just be able to serve you better and share our love and integrity with more of the world (and, no, not with mainland China because we do not test on animals). ❤️ Please take a moment to read Brandon's personal letter here: http://deciem.com/estee-lauder-partnership (It's long but it tells it as it is.)'

I have never forgiven Estee Lauder for destroying Aveda hair care products. They used to be so good, now they are awful.

Yes, on the beauty forums the moment its mentioned EL is buying or buying a share in the company its the death for the products. They have their foot in the door at the moment, how long the original owners can keep a grip is yet to be seen.

Think its The Ordinary they are really interested

got my NIOD TSV already,
as an extra bonus, it came in a gorgeous heavy snazzy presentation box
looking forward to gettinthe the new MMHC2 on me mush tonight
and having a play with the PF 12% tomorrow

I got my TSV yesterday too, used today. Loved the Mastic Must so far, the MMHC2 feels thinner than the original one and seems to penetrate better and I liked this Also loved the PF 12%, although it’s a bit pale, I just used some concealer this morning and the PF with the Doll 10 concealer brush, the result is very similar to balance and glow but better, as this is a liquid and goes on better. The CAIS I haven’t opened, I’m using one from another set .
The black box featured in the presentation and all products were very well packed in secured inside, I’m wondering if they are going to skimp on the packaging when it comes to the AD?
I tried the Mastic Must in the store and I think it was a thicker consistency than the one in the TSV?

well after listening to the voice and prattle of the NIOD girl for a mere 15 minutes, won't watch again, I can't stand her voice a real turn off for me personally. Sorry folks not a fan of her or the product.

Maybe, honey, but she still looked and sounded like Barbie's granddaughter on helium.
