Oh NO we know its coming but when we actually see 'Christmas in July' mentioned that is definitely time to go.I will leave this to all those who enjoy this sort of thing.I am well & truly OUT.

I see there is a Yankee Candle show. What's the betting there won't be any festive candles or accessories on it. There never usually are so I don't know why they have them on a show titled "Christmas with Yankee Candles."

Hi well the annual qvc Christmas in July is coming up which half of it moves old clearance lines cheekily to the event price. There is some new Santa express stuff and some new home reflections but there is a lot of old lines as well. No sign of any new Bethlehem lights

Ahem! That's what I always say, it's a magical time of year when the clearance/last clicks prices magically become "Christmas in July" prices, so are you really a Newie?...............only joking :mysmilie_17:

Exactly i notice it more and more and used to fall for it, so I took notice to cleareance and last click prices. Basically they won’t not sell something so some Christmas in July is to get us to buy what they can’t normally sell at the same price since jan

Ho Ho Ho and a Merry Christmas (can't believe I am actually typing that), to you too 'Scrouge', (though I kinda get where you are coming from as we know from now until the actual day, we are going to be having Christmas in August/September and then the launch of 'specially selected hours')!

Ain't marketing fun!

Phew! And I thought I'd missed it, which would have been a tragedy :mysmilie_17::mysmilie_51: IW actually beat them to it, I saw that they were doing Christmas craft materials the other day...perhaps that does enable people who make their own cards, etc. to get ahead so I can sort of understand it, but I don't want to see it. Any mention of "Christmas" at this time of year and I'm off.

Let's face it, it's Christmas all year round with the selly telly channels...months ago someone on TJC told us to buy two and put one away for Christmas.

Not for me thanks ! I always start mid-Nov and love those 5-6 weeks of intense shopping, wrapping, decorating, last minute bits in our festive town centre, drinks with neighbours, making arrangements for family get-togethers etc.

Starting in July just doesn't feel right for me !

Michelle Mone has gone up in my estimation, during her Diamonique hour she repeatedly asked (I paraphrase) "WTF - who buys Christmas stuff in July?" Julia was trying to say that there are plenty of buyers for this event but Mona sounded more normal in her comments than Julia trying to defend it, showing the Christmas tree already decorated in the corner of the Studio!

It's tomorrow, CiJ...in case you want to buy early.

I'll be honest I refuse to go anywhere near the shops in December so mine will all be done by November. I cannot bear crowded shops.

Me too, I do a lot of my Christmas shopping online about October/November, saying that I don't put a time limit on it, I don't put a title on my shopping for Christmas either, but if I did, it would be "Grab And Run". :mysmilie_17:

I pick up bits and bobs throughout the year, usually in online sales ( NOT QVC ! ) or if I see anything of good value on Amazon. Lots of websites send me discount codes throughout the year and even buying just one item per month gives me a stress free December and saves me money.
