Didn't think I'd like any of those but I do like the Lola Rose scarf and also the little wreath pin by Buckley.

I also like the wreath pin & I bought the 2016 Lola Rose Poppy Collection scarf. The pattern's slightly different from this one but it's just as pretty, I love it & wear it frequently.

You know you can buy a range of lovely poppy products direct from the Royal British Legion online shop?! Delivery £3.99 up to £50, free over that. 100% of profits go to charity.

Isn't that better than swelling the coffers of QVC?

Why does your comment make me feel a little "got at"? I give money to charity anyway, including Help for Heroes and RBL. I don't do it to feel righteous or good, I do it because I want to and I buy items from QVC because I want to.

Not sure. You have taken offence but none was intended. I probably should have posted this shopping alternative suggestion in the 'Reasons not to...' section.

Yes, I agree, it's always better to give 100% or as near as possible, direct to the charity itself. QVC are, as usual taking advantage, as usual, by profiting from p&p.

That's the only point that I was trying to make. I don't have a beef at all with where people shop or what they buy. If it gives you pleasure, that great. QVC are quite open about how much goes to the RBL (1/3 of sales):

Same or similar items bought directly from the RBL, however, generate 100% profit for them. Indeed, looking at the range on offer by the RBL, I wouldn't be surprised if Buckley supplies some of their items.

I think I stepped on a landmine here so will be a bit more circumspect in future.

Andy absolutely not, the brilliant thing about this forum is you can openly state your opinions as we're all entitled to them with none being more valid than the last, or the next, it's why we all love it so much........so carry on with your comments and opinions. :mysmilie_3:

Hi Andy, I completely didn't take offence. I just felt a little "poked", but hey, that's just me :mysmilie_51: I agree with your giving to charity sentiment.

There is a Kipling item which Q is giving a % but in a magazine it was advertised as being 100% (I assume from Kipling though it didn't say).

Yes, it's a minefield isn't it. Just like the use of the word "sales". With an operation like QVC (or similar, to be fair) it's hard not to be suspicious.
