And another repetitive presentation by Lee no doubt. Oh joy! :mysmilie_11:

It's funny when he says the Apple iPad at £400 is technically £200 because the tech support is worth £200. Oh, ok then, well scrap the tech support and just sell the iPad for £200 because any Apple Store, or Apples on-line customer service will answer any queries you have, for free. So the man has no credibility whatsoever, he says a lot but never really says anything.

For me, that is one of the worst things he basically lies about. It really does pee me off when he seriously implies they are selling an iPad for £200.

Anyway, we can play a drinking game when he comes out with any of the following...

"the things this tablet can do is in...sane"
"I get questions all the time from seasoned users, and I'm tech support for everybody here at QVC. But really these things are so easy to use"
"the sound quality is what really blew me away"
"the screen is gorgeous. Movies and pictures look a..maz..ing!
"somethink"
"nothink"
"everythink" (seriously dude, learn to speak)
"Alexa, play my QVC playlist"
"Alexa, will I need an umbrella tomorrow?"
"I've been in this business a long time, and I've never seen anythink like it"

And on and on, it's like listening to the same recording over and over when he presents Apple or Amazon tech.

It was almost as if he's here. Spot on. :mysmilie_19:

He (LH) will never sell me anything, I can't listen to him for more than a few mins, I find his boasting have no bounds, where he has been what he has got and how many...no ta.

I was thinking of buying my husband a tablet for his upcoming birthday. I have an iPad but he doesn’t like Apple, his laptop is Windows. Was thinking of perhaps a Samsung but now wondering about this. I only know Apple products, all my computers have been Apple so feel a bit like I’m in the dark what to choose. Anyone got any advice please? He already has a kindle e-reader & has Prime.

You've forgotten the sniff, sniff, sniff, sniff, sniff, sniff, ………...

I have a 7 inch fire, I do like it but it just doesn't compare to my ancient i-pad but when you look at price difference I suppose what would you expect? I use the fire more for reading on my hols or watching the odd programme on say all4 on my way to work. But I think at some point I will just buy a new I pad or a decent Samsung tablet as just find the fire a bit more limiting in what I can use it for. But that's just my opinion

I would go with Samsung. I love my Kindle for reading had it for years and still use it, so I bought a Kindle Fire and it was fine but after a while it just became infuriating at the apps ypu could not get on it and the number of videos that would not work on it so got a Samsung one and love it, never touch the Kindle Fire now.

My iPad is dying but I've had it for years and years and used it virtually every day. I've just ordered a new one from John Lewis. I don't use it with cellular data so the new one is costing just over £400. On the face of it that seems like a lot of money compared to the TSV. However it comes with a three year warranty at no extra cost, so even if it only lasted the three years that's less than 40 pence a day. However based on how long I've had my current iPad I expect it to last much longer than three years, so I can justify spending that amount of money.
