Just saw the promo for Amanda Wakeley. She seems to fit very well into QVC's favoured demographic of "upper-middle-class lady of around 50 years of age." She embodies the coldness of Hoppen, the snootiness of Liz Earle and the dreariness of Twee Nikki and the poshness of Julie from Phony Flaaaahs.

Her products look piss-dull to me. It's as though she's gone to Russell & Bromley, nabbed a few bags, then raided QVC's cubic zirconia / Diamonique cupboard, and stuck them on with a Pritt stick.

Have QVC decided to target customers in the same mould ? In which case, “I’m out !”.
