your right Sisterbliss tv does make all but the slimmest look larger. specially if your short and curvy like Debbie Flint and Julia Roberts. Alison Keenan is teeny tiny and reasonably tall. she look slim on the TV which she is but she's slimmer in real life.

It’s hard to judge someone’s size when they are on television but you can compare them to other people who are with them. Doing this will tell you that some of them, including JR, are definitely not skinny Minnies. That’s from someone who isn’t a skinny Minnie either but I don’t see the point in claiming to be a size small when I’m actually a 16.

We go to lots of concerts & plays & all the musicians & actors I've seen are exactly the same in 'real life' as they are tv or in films. We saw Ruth Jones last week & she looked just as she did when being interviewed by John Bishop during the summer. It was a bittersweet play called 'The Nightingales'& she was excellent.

Remember that they use their blogs as a shop window (ie sales outlet) ....It's contractual, although she is boastful. It bugs me especially at this time of year when so many have little & are lonely......:mysmilie_476:
Julia uses her blog as an outlet to show off about herself. Any mention of the products is coincidental and accompanied by a hint that she has been given them as a freebie. Her extreme self love is most disturbing and I find it all rather repulsive. I can’t wait for the day she retires and she can stop boring me with her super woman attributes, her possessions.........,, she is the ultimate bore!

That can be applied to every aspect of the commercialisation of Christmas. The Q's sales assistants are no different from any other person paid by a retail business to sell their products, I'm thinking more of the 'At home with...' not the people who work in the shops. I can't see those who really struggle to make ends meet watching selly telly, however, there must be quite a number of lonely people who watch the Q for company & find comfort in the family feeling that has been cultivated over the last few years. As I wrote a few weeks ago I love christmas & the anticipation & joy I feel in December is the same now as it always has been. To me the little things become the big things at this time of the year & I'm able to see what's important & what isn't. QVC hype has always amused me & if Queen Julia is happy to see herself as the oldest fairy on top of the tree so be it. Just wait for the photos of her Christmas cake, if it's anything like the ones from previous years it'll be a right mess.

I agree with everything said here, Queen Julia Roberts and other QVC presenters use their "blogs" as a way to show us how amazing their life is, thing is though, people who have a happy life do not feel the need to brag about it and let everyone know, secondly message to Queen Julia and Chuntley........who cares!!??

I find it odd the bragging about her engagement and up and coming wedding after being together 40? years. Makes me think she hasn’t been happy unmarried that long. Hasn’t he ever proposed in all that time?

It's probably a case of they had the relationship and that was the most important thing. Now they're likely choosing to formalise arrangements due to personal / practical reasons - so as to facilitate certain things later on.

I had always thought of JR as being the most professional and honest (or at least better at disguising the hard sell) but now find her smug and bragging.

The big question is it her or me that has changed?

Which could also easily be done by making wills. I mentioned in another of the many Juliarghhhhh! threads that if she was that fabulous, 'him indoors' would have married her ages ago. I think she's probably worn him down & he's lost the will to live, so agreed for an easy life.

I agree with you & there are times when she still is better than the rest, often depending on the other person with her. I would say that she's far more smug than she used to be & you, like the majority of us, no longer recognise the Q with its social media obsession, high prices, 'stylists & poor customer service.

They may have done that already but because of her illness decided to become Mr & Mrs. Not surprisingly her diagnosis changed her & even though it currently in chronic phase it can suddenly change & so they are doing this while things are stable.

Those chesticles need a 16/18 IMO, and her muffin top needs more than a 12.

This is from someone who needs to drop a couple of sizes BUT I don’t kid myself I’m more than 2 sizes less than I actually am.

I thought she looked dreadful today, her hair which had been rearranged to cover her roots looked as if it hadn’t been washed for days and her make up was terrible .
She should have that product for covering the roots in her dressing room I would think. The Wow Colour it was called.

I'm not sure that making a will would be the same. When one is married the spouse doesn't pay the inheritance tax. I think that this is the difference between the two options.

You're on the right lines, but the whole thing is far more nuanced than that & there are a lot of variables - just one of these variables are deeds of home ownership - for example tenants in common or tenants in kind etc etc. The whole thing is far too complex for me to reel off now, & it'd also make for a long & dull post.... All this is academic in the case of my post as, (as with most of my posts) it was written in jest, but I know it's not always clear when I/we/do this.

I see the vegetarian Queen Julia is on with the Furrier Dennis Basso and could touch her ankles if she bent any further backwards to please him, also she's proving she has no morals as to quote her "I've been her long enough were I can pick the shows I want to present"

As for Tv making someone look bigger, maybe in the old days but not with the TVs we have now, were you could see what colour knickers a flea is wearing they have that much clear, precise detail.

After, ten seconds, over the channel goes......

I can't comment fully on the joys of modern telly's - I'm not a telly expert, nor do I work in a telly shop. My telly is a flat screen,as are most peoples, but we bought it around 2008/9, so maybe that's why Julia looks bigger on it, but I'm not so sure......
