I adore Fitflops & started with them when they very first came out - around 2007 (note to fact police...'ish')

I feel the quality has slipped as they have become more popular. I'm suspecting Marcia sold the brand a while back & the fact that Q are on board sadly confirms my suspicions that the quality will slip further. Q will no doubt be charging top whack. The uninitiated will love these shoes though...

Me too, SisterBliss. They are practically all I wear. Sooo comfortable. They have come a long way from the original clumpy boots, with different degrees of ‘tone up’ to them so some styles are really nice now. I’m only 5’ tall so I love the extra lift as well. Cannot be happier.

I have a few items from the sale a couple of years ago. My favourite is a pair of FitFlop Womens Superskate with Sequins Slip-on Loafer, they are a great edition in the summer, the sun sparkles off them and I have had many compliments on them. A woman in M&S even asked me where I had them from as her daughter wanted something like them to wear under her Wedding dress. I don’t want them to wear out.
I did, however, have trouble with a pair of Uberknit plimsolls, I just cannot stop them rubbing my heels and have not found the comfort from them. My fitflop flip flops ( not easy to say) are brilliant for around the pool and holiday walking, really comfy.

I'm wearing my Fitflop flip flops at the moment, gold denim toeposts that look as good today as the moment I took them out of the box. I agree with SB that the ones on the Q may not match up.

I was on board at the beginning, too. Their first pair was a sheepskin half boot/half mule affair called Billow I believe. I still have them as they're my winter slipper.

I started wearing them as they were the only things that stopped the pain of plantar fasciitis.

I didn't know then that they would become the ONLY shoes I can wear. I've a nerve condition that causes intense pain in my feet and ankles, exactly like someone's drilled my bones out, filled they with petrol and set them alight. I can just about walk in M&S Footgloves for an evening where I'm mainly sitting, but any walking or longer in them and the pain starts again.

I agree with you, SisterBliss - the quality has slipped. It started about two years ago when I noticed my usual size 6 no longer fitted in some styles. One pair caused a pain in my toes that wasn't rubbing or pressure, but stopped as soon as I put a different pair on. I but a new pair of suede lace-ups every year, but they've gone smaller to the point that I'm now 6.5 in them. I'm still a 6 in most others, though. I bought a pair of stretchy slip-ons that are so tight my legs swell up alarmingly. I suppose it's a testament to the strength of the elastic that it never actually stretched so I resorted to snipping the front a bit.

My first few sandals were toe-posts but they all went in the bin when I broke my ankle in them - my heel just slipped off the edge and over I went. I bought non-toe-posts after that but I can no longer keep a slip-on sandal (or slipper, apart from Billow which has indented so deeply with my feet they're almost glued on!) on my right foot when walking thanks to my neuro condition, so now have to buy sandals with a back strap (which I hate, but at least I can walk with my crutches without my shoe being left behind every two steps!).

I've wondered for the last few years and the way the fitting has been for me if Q would start selling. At least I'd no longer be wasting money buying shoes, wearing them around a few hours then being unable to ever wear them again. I also wonder if their prices will be good as I usually only ever buy in the sales. I had some bargains last year. A load of shoes and boots came on sale, then had a 25% off code, plus 21% cashback on Quidco. I must admit I went a bit mental but who could blame me when I had two pairs of boots, 3 pairs of trainers and a pair of sandals for the normal price of a pair of boots! Q will have to work hard to beat that.

The ones in the Amazon link look a bit flimsy to me. Not something I'd wear as that style tends to slide to one side of my foot when I walk. I don't need any kind of footwear anyway so I'll only look.

Amazon have some Fitflops at good prices and with free delivery and returns make them instantly cheaper than QVC. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B01LYC662R/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&psc=1&th=1

Those are cheap because they're not the main Fitflop range - they're the IQushions.

They're much more like a regular flip flop - the base is all moulded from a single piece and it's not the spongy, wobble board foot bed of regular Fit Flops (which I really like!)

I tried some of these IQushions and whilst they're really light and look nice and slim, I found them unsteady and too narrow so not for me!

Big fan of Fit Flops (as with others more so in beginning and I prefer the plainer styles) as they are SO comfy!
NOT a fan of the IQushion ones though after two failed attempts...

My mum is the world's greatest fan - she has boots, shoes, slippers as well as flip flops!

But she only buys on offers or on sale (so she says!) No really does!

Fitflop own website has good sales and clearance plus discount codes so keep an eye!

Shoetique.co.uk also often has great prices especially in its end of season sales etc. But none at the moment sadly!

Just in case it helps anyone, there is an extra 10% off the up to 50% off sale prices at Fitflop.com until 20th May with the code: VC10

Not the best Fitflop sale I've seen but no doubt it will beat QVC by far!

Over the weekend I was discussing sizing with a sales assistant and she said that she always wore Dune footwear but had noticed that her normal size no longer fitted when buying new stock. She asked the shop owner why this was and the answer apparently was that nowadays (partly due to social media) no one will admit to wearing larger sized shoes therefore the manufacturers are labelling the sizes down to pander to this.

Have those black toe post wedges seen the bin yet?
Plenty for Julia to choose from, I do hope Liverpool send some in the correct size for her.
Bit of a let down if your not too bothered about toe posts.

I found the styles I've tried were a bit too narrow for my feet (one slight bunion and one big bunion to deal with), and the toe post styles crucify the webbing between my toes... Are there other styles which might be suitable in the range, on Q or elsewhere?

The Uberknit trainers are made of that light, stretchy material so should be okay for a bunion.

Otherwise I think it's a case of trial and error. I gave up the toeposts years ago and recently now only wear backstraps as I can't keep mule types on any more

There are loads of different styles, but I have noticed that a lot of the styles have got narrower as they've introduced different sole types. I have the original Mukluk And Mukluk II suede boots that are wide and the suede is soft enough to give around a bunion. The Skater Boots aren't as wide and the suede seems stiffer and harder,

If you can get to a shop to try some basic styles it might help. You'd get to know where the different straps lie in relation to your foot so when you look at them online you'll be able to notice how far back they're attached to the sole. That way you can make the most of the online sales rather than pay full price.

I bought five pairs of these in different colours and they’re so comfortable https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B06Y5P4G6G/ref=ox_sc_saved_image_3?smid=A305F73R9J7OWU&psc=1 You do need to size up a size, even two, because they do come up small.

They’ve even got these https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07MPC43S7/?tag=shoppingcom03-21 Absolutely identical to EVA Birkenstocks, I was going to buy some but only got 5.5 for women upwards.

Oooh, Birkenstocks ..... that reminds me, I must sign up for Facebook so I can ask QVC when the next Birkies show will be.
