Usually there is some much-vaunted product touted in the run-up to Christmas. What do you think it will be this year? Dyson hairdryer, perhaps? A Kitchen Aid to help you prepare your lovely meal as you feel comforted by the warmth of your aga in your beautiful white kitchen while the little ones play in front of the roaring inglenook fireplace? Or how about a combination microwave oven to serve as a veritable culinary workhorse?

Maybe it will be a new Dyson vac to pick up all those pine needles from your beautiful Christmas tree? Or how about an Andi Peters food hamper containing a selection of items to keep in your food closet? Or it could be a tech item such as an enormous widescreen telly that synchronises with an app on yer 'phone.

Let's hear your predictions - the funnier, the better!

A 25th anniversary calendar for 2019 with photos of ALL presenters, past & present. Maybe those who have departed will be crossed out with a big red X.

A party outfit in leopard print, there could also be a touch of metallic - 'in' this a/w season.

Defo the Dyson dryer, for all those parties or for cosy evenings with the neighbours when you want to look your best but only have five minutes to get ready.

A selection of 'crammed to the crust' pastries that are promised for early December but never arrive.

A KH ceramic offering that can double up as a Christmas tree for those who don't like the real thing leaving needles everywhere.

A QVC voucher to spend in the new year. The ideal gift for the person who has everything, including the time to work out how to redeem it...

Ah yes, it's that time again where QVC start to sell their viewers the dream of Christmas. All those wonderful families around their wonderful trees with their wonderful children, eating perfectly cooked dinners and welcoming their perfectly behaved friends and families. We will all need our pull cord lights to hang in the trees outside while we have our midnight winter barbecues and frolicking in our centigrade coats while we create our "little story" of coat wearing. And don't forget all the tat you'll need in your emergency present drawer for when all the neighbours/postman/binmen unexpectedly pop in holding a gargantuan gift for you.

Still, at least the presenters bleating on about all the essentials we'll need for the party season will happily replace the banging on about how everything is just perfect for kids going to university.
