We’ve bought two new TV shopping channels, bringing out total to seven on the Sky platform. Consequently we’ve moved this part of our business to a bigger building.”

“It was important to locate these premises in Tyne Dock (within the Port of Tyne Authority estates). It means we can do everything in one place including docking our seaborne containers and using the warehousing for the medium and long term.”

The state of the art building accommodates JML’s customer service team who handle calls from customers and store groups. It also houses the company’s fulfilment centre where customer orders are picked, packed and despatched.

Shaun Tebble commented: “As we grow over the coming year we hope to recruit twenty more people to join our forty strong team.”

The London-based company employs 250 people throughout the UK, over forty of whom work at its Tyne Dock offices. JML’s product range includes DIY, Kitchen, homecare, car and health and beauty products which are sold through its website, TV Channels and major retailers such as ASDA, Boots, Debenhams, Makro and Woolworths. The company enjoyed record sales last year of £70 million and its business has expanded everywhere from North America to the Philippines.
