I confess now - instead of zipping to garden centres, having pub lunches, gardening or laughing with gerreat friends - I am stuck on STF looking at back-logged threads and laughing loudly. This is not good. I can't help it. No control. Need counselling.
Have QVC on in background! Is ****** Indigo Moon! Must switch off. No can't. Aaaargh.

You'd be stuck in traffic, garden centres & pubs will be packed out & your Gerrreat friends will have had too much choc, so will be in a bad mood.@ least you are laughing!!!Don't worry I have just watched today's TSV!!!!Have somehow resisted temptation to buy---'cos I'm not a gardener?

It's a bit like Christmas isn't it, you feel like you are the only person not doing something really good.

We are going to see a friend who lives not too far from the QVC outlet shop so we will probably go there too. Now that's a no win situation, either there are some bargains and you buy things you don't need (fat chance) or all the stock is carp (far more likely!).

BTW on the topic of Indigo Moon did anyone else notice Rita on Corrie wearing what looked like an Indigo Moon jacket when she went to the theatre?

yep, i'm sitting at home today too, partly because it's lashing down and partly because of all the previously mentioned reasons. lol !
bank holidays just aren't what they used to be, especially when you think back to being little, easter bonnet parades, going to church, getting all dressed up in your new easter clothes, etc
so for me, it's qvc, this forum and maybe an easter egg later...

I've watched a fair bit of qvc over the weekend - my hubby's been at work, kids off doing their own thing etc.....Really can't believe how dire the products have been - was hoping for a weekend of fab shows!

Yes I thought Rita had an Indigo Moon jacket on. All you previous posters have cheered me up. I thought I was the only "Billy no-mates" reading Shopping Telly Forum, when everyone else is out and about. Going to make myself a nice cuppa tea and celebrate that I am in very good company here.

Glad to be in such good company. OH at work marking essays (yawn) and toddler at Grandma's so I'm here with STF, QVC and my own body weight in Mini Eggs. Although I am getting a wee bit irritated by Debbie G (someone who doesn't normally have this effect) constantly telling me she can't afford platinum when it's clear both her and her husband are high earners, have a big house, private company, little place in Portugal etc.

Me too! What a shame the weekend's QVC viewing has been so poor. Gardening, gardening and more gardening. I notice too that the competition winner is announced during the final Richard Jackson show. Is this the only way to get people to watch? ;) The only things of interest were in the beauty hours but I won't pay their prices. I get the knowledge I need and then go and buy on FleaBay :D (which I did.) (Twice.)

Also, what part of special and value applies to the TSV today? All they've done is knock off the amount of the P&P. I guess they hope we won't notice that it's not so special after all. I can't be bothered to look but I expect you can find the same, or probably better, stuff elsewhere at half their price.

I'm a saddo at home too

I can't believe how cold it is this year, it's usually nice by now...can't face going out in this weather...best stay at home and wait for a Moira C itsarap to come along!

I have no interest in the shows this weekend and certainly not in the tsv's.

I tend to find thats all tsv's generally are just knocking off the p&p really these days

I've done faff all this weekend, so QVC has been on out of sheer boredom. I haven't watched or bought for months, but have ended up ordering the Archos tsv and some leopard print scholls - just goes to show, abstinence really does work! Wish I could say the same for chocolate! :mysmilie_5: Washed the car and one of the bikes this morning just to get out of the bl**dy house! I now feel quite good for doing something, but lo and behold am back on the sofa with the ol'netbook, but I refuse to switch the tv on as reading what you're all watching, it sounds like another pants day on QVC!! :mysmilie_476:

Could I ask for more details please.

:wonder:

Hi there i am doing a job application!! sick of doing the "supporting statement" so keep popping on here to have a giggle, and occasionally putting on QVC to see what strange things they are hawking. Will be having the rest of easter egg and a glass of wine as my reward when the job app is completed and emailed.

I'm sure I heard her say that she has a place there, something about learning Portugese at nightschool in preparation for spending more time there since purchasing property. She definitely said something about taking Italian A Level last year, I remember that as it tied in with something I read years ago about her being fluent in a number of European languages and (I think) studying overseas. Hmmnnn...it's only as I have come to write this post that I've realised perhaps it's time to get out of the house a bit more, I seem to know far more trivia about QVC presenters than is probably good for me...

Hey Artdeco you could apply for Mastemind!!, QVC as your specialist subject, all of us on the forum would be cheering you on, imagine a question on the most expensive TSVs, what size is Julia Roberts? has Lulu really has surgery?
maybe a brain teaser on p and p as I sure as hell can't work out what mathmatical formula they apply......

Why would any one want to go out in the cold and rain when they can stay in and "talk" to their friends on STF.
I have only been out to take DD to work and to walk the dogs, they don't care what the weather is doing, they just need to get out and run.
