I have been to Birchwood today and the shop is full of Emu boots with various offers. It looks like they get loads of returns.

I'd love to go to birchwood one day... its on my list of places to visit, right up there with the grand canyon and hong kong (how sad am i? - please don't answer that LOL)

Thank you Star in the Wood you really are amazing. I check everyday for TSV's I am interested in so that I can decide in advance whether to sit on my hands (often very difficult!!!) and the info you give us is first class. Thank you (and Autumn and the others) for all your hard work and sleuthing, it is much appreciated.

Oh no....I really like them.......I think I need the Olive ones.....or maybe the rust......

Hi Buglet and welcome.

I like the look of these but have two pairs on the go still in very good condition so can't really justify getting them.

I like the olive.

Bumping because Ian's link in post 1 has gone live on the website but if you want easypays you'll have to wait until midnight.

Haven't been to birchwood for ages but I reckon end January/February is a good time to visit when all the Christmas returns are in. But they can keep their emus after my two disastrous purchases which will definitely not have ended up on sale again. Although you never know.

I'm going vegas in march so i think a trip to the grand canyon is going to happen during that trip, i'm so close to it so it would be stupid not to go right!

You can book some great trips to the canyon from Vegas but shop around. I did a flight out to the canyon in a light aircraft, flew over the dam and desert and then a helicopter flight through the canyon, then sailing part way down the river at the base of the canyon and finishing off with a meal. It`s very commercialised, lots of Native American Indians charging $10 to have your pic taken with them or selling gift tat and the meal was in a kind of huge cafeteria but the whole day was great fun apart from the 5am start. We were waiting for our raft to sail us down the river and many of the loos are portaloos and not very nice either. They`re steel construction and the doors warp with the heat and I had to ask a complete stranger to hold the door shut for me lol. The canyon is magnificent though. Sadly i didn`t get the opportunity to do the glass skywalk. I daresay since I visited ( 6 years ago ) things will have changed.

thank you, i won't be getting into a helicopter though - bad experience with that and its put me off for life lol. I've seen the new glass platform you can walk out onto, that looks very nice to do.

Absolutely! I just went to Vegas in November for the first time, and flew over the GC. Fab - and much more exciting than the Birchwood Outlet, which in my experience has never yielded anything of interest. I was also underwhelmed by Hong Kong, although I know others who think it's wonderful.
Enjoy Vegas!
