Mr Thompson-Bennett, he likes to incite the same sense of FOMO about whatever tat he is peddling at the time. Probably clips of himself grinning like an ape next to some poor expert (victim) at Tucson and tal of empty booths and unaffordable stones. There will be references to Her Majesty, platinum jubilee and various pieces she owns. Then, cut to a piece of nonsense for £29.99. He over emphasises each word and to be honest, 30 minutes of him is as bad as 30 minutes with Troth.

Speaking as a larger lady, I do know how to dress. He stands there in a cheap, ill fitting suit with his shirt buttons struggling to contain his ample frame. What if it pops open? Gempornia will be launched!

I too, am sick of all the junk.
The make -up ?, the clothes, the candles, ringing bowls, vitamins, noodles ? dreamcatchers and the latest, jigsaw puzzles! What the hell is going on at Gemporia ?
It used to sell decent jewellery with better prices than the high street. I have some "vintage" gemstv pieces, still going strong with good gold weight and decent stones, now everything looks flimsy and I have heard and read so many comments about the low quality of stones.
So, why have gemporia stopped doing what they were good at, cutting out the middleman to give us good jewellery prices ? What has happened at gemporia for them to need to sell this other tat ?

If I flick through the channels now, gemporia either have the above tat, something so rare that it is a million pounds a carat but you can have it for £19.99, some expert enjoying the sound of his own voice ( Troth, Jake, Pearl bloke or the hyperactive idiot, can't stomach any of the them) spouting absolute nonsense in context the the item being offered for sale or the presenters themselves, some of whom used to be normal folk, are now so over the top they deserve an oscar !
I remember Mr Bennet himself saying some time ago on air, we are a jewellery channel, what has a llama ornament or candle (or some such) got to do with jewellery, now the channel is flooded with that tat.
I'm done with them, they are no longer what they were and are looking very similar to the other jewellery channel or price drop !

Just been watching Dave Troth and Ellis with jadeite. Top class but set in silver. Dave said get this top class silver ring home and set the stone in gold and surround with diamonds. In effect, totally dismantle it then? You may as well just sell the loose stone. Ah but then you couldn’t command the £99 being charged for it!

I gave up watching Gemporia ages ago but I love reading all your comments. I have to say I am glad that I dont watch it if there is all that rubbish on. Ive got loads of nice jewellery from Gemporia that I bought years ago but it seems standards have dropped to rock bottom from what you say.

I seldom watch Gemporia nowadays due to all the junk. However, when I do switch to the channel I always catch Destello shows (now would be a good example). Is it bad timing on my part or is Gemporia being taken over by Destello?

I think the shows were popular so they have flooded the channel with them. They are doing them every Friday now too.

Lynne is moving times to do Hattie's slot and I think Hattie might be doing Destello full time now, like Kati with her make up

It seems to be always Destello. primal or Visage. The afternoon slots seem to be almost totally devoid of jewellery. I stick to mornings now. It seems to be the only time you don't get the junk. That said I recently saw, to my horror, a trailer for chinese food/ chinese cooking. They already do brownies...

I think they are doing the low carb noodles, which is part of the Primal Living range, but I've seen Steve cooking on there before too, I don't like the look of them at all. There seems to be less jewellery on every day and as for Dave Troth and his coffee, he can keep it!

I actually know someone who bought the noodles and he told me it's not an experience he would like to repeat.... They were very rubbery, apparently. I caught a glimpse of an add saying that Jake Thompson would be "cooking up a storm".
I once sent a message to the studio to ask if the noodles were gluten free as I am a Coeliac and no one replied. According to my acquaintance that tried the noodles, that was a blessing in disguise.
Has anyone else tried the noodles? Did you like them? Are you planning to buy them?

Speaking of the devil, as we speak Gemporia is delighting us with Wok this Way with Jake Thompson cooking. I am not sure which is worst nowadays... TJC or Gemporia!

They are gluten free, but the fibre can be difficult to digest for some people. I've never tried them and wouldn't buy them but my mum tried them and said they were tasteless and had no texture.

Well, I am a bit of a fan of Primal Living because I lost loads of weight doing Steve's reset, but it's just the low carb way of living. For me it was the daily video keeping the focus that helped me. It was fun going into work after no one had seen me for months and I was 7 stone down. No one wanted to mention it and said oh you look well, I said ah yes, I have been trying out this new Visage make up lol!

For a company whose name is Gemporia, it a rarity these days to find a jewellery hour.

I just showed my husband a recording of some of the Destello show today as they read out my message to my 6 year old daughter which she thought was hilarious and he watched Ellis and Hattie prancing around in their leggings and just said is this how you spend your day haha
