I probably have 100 remotes lying around (I did actually count them once) so being able to speak to turn something off is much easier than trying to find the right remote.

BTW when the phone rings, I sometimes pick up a remote to try and answer it, or, vice versa, I try to use my landline phone as a remote!

I bought one a bed "caddy" (or whatever they call them) from IKEA and tucked it down the outside of my chair. All the remotes fit in and it only took a few days to get used to which was for what in whatever pocket.

My remotes are so many different shapes and sizes that I made myself a made-to-measure caddy, but before long I had yet more remotes so it was no use.

BTW I am a bit of a collector, so keep all my old remotes even when I've junked the original items.

My oldest dates back to my 1st remote-controlled TV when there were only 4 channels so it only needed 4 channel buttons, a volume button, and an on/off button. It was probably about 1969 so about 50 years old. It was like the 8th wonder of the world in those days.

Just received email stating worth £133, I think this difference between my calculations is the travel sizes based on ml for ml from full sizes rather than the actual travel size price from Gatineau. A difference of approx £6. Will leave ml for ml calculations as above.
