Qurio - a socially interesting documentary!

Ive been a member on here for years and have seen the tone change over time. It always used to be about QVC, the products and customer experience but its become more a full on 'b*t*h fest' aimed at anyone and everyone who doesnt agree with group think. Some of the comments about presenters are...

    SOHO

Click is on the News Channel at 12.30 on Saturday (and I think Sundays) that is the full 30 min show. The ones on BBC 1 at 0745 are the short 15 minute versions

    Estée Lauder 12 September 2020

Love EL but they test on animals to see in China so its a no from me.

    It Cosmetics TSV 23/02/19

Shame they are owned by L'Oreal - kind of undermines their 'green' credentials!

    Bundleberry firework bulb

Yeah you can, there are a couple of trade manufacturers in the uk that that is exactly how they work. Mind you pretty sure Qs candles are from China with as many corners cut as possible.

    L’Occitane buying out Elemis

I dont recall which one Elemis has if at all, my point was simply that there are many companies who are cruellty free but have never signed up to any formal scheme. All the schemes are subsciption/paid services and each one has its own flaws i.e. you can be cruelty free but owned by a...

    L’Occitane buying out Elemis

Nars got a similar backlash as well. So many of the smaller cruelty free brands build up a great following and they then sell out to the major names who put profut before ethics - wish more companies would listen to what their customers say!

    L’Occitane buying out Elemis

You dont have to be certified to be cruelty free or vegan

    L’Occitane buying out Elemis

Loads of countries still test on animals but China is the only one (that I know of) that insists that products retailed in mainland China are tested on animals before they can be sold. Loads of mainsteam brands that chase the Chinese market ignore how damaging this is just to make money - all...

    L’Occitane buying out Elemis

You dont have to have the leaping bunny to be cruelty free - plus there is more than one accreditation scheme.

    L’Occitane buying out Elemis

Another brand snapped up by a predatory company and will be sold in China - time to cross Elemis off the cruelty free list I fear.

Laura Geller Fans some imporant news

Tarte is owned by Kose who still test on animals so, IMO not strictly cruelty free but everyone has to draw their own lines.

Laura Geller Fans some imporant news

Pretty sure the Jerome Alexander one had (or used to have) talc in it - wish QVC would have some decent properly cruelty free products
