I got many a bargain OTO when they were worth watching QVC live on TV to see if there was one and what it was.

Years ago, when I actually watched live QVC on TV, an OTO was an exciting thing. They ONLY had an OTO if the TSV had sold out, so it was exciting to see whether it did, and what the OTO would be. It was never announced in advance, was usually very good value, and often sold out very quickly...

But all the cooking instructions say to preheat the oven before putting the food in. BTW M&S are going to add air-fryer cooking instructions to their food.

OH has a new fan assisted oven, but it still takes about 1/4 hour to heat up to 200 deg, so a lot of wasted energy before she even starts cooking.

That price would make 9 carat gold, as used by QVC, £600 per ounce, or about £52 per gram for pure gold (about £20 for 9ct). The last ring I bought from QVC weighed just 1 gram and was so thin it dented almost by looking at it! Gold is now about TWICE the price of platinum! So I wouldn't be...

A day or so ago I watched a vintage "Look at life" film about gold (remember them?). They mentioned that gold was £42 per ounce. Today it has reached a new record price, just over £1600 per ounce, so 38 times more! I wonder when this will affect the price of QVC's gold items? BTW I did...

When I am awake at 4am I used to listen to Steve Allen on LBC, but he has been sacked and/or resigned. He has been replaced by yet another phone-in, probably no-one else could talk non-stop for 3 hours without any phone callers.
