Social Media - That was an eyeopener

Oh dear this sounds unnecessarily arduous! I don’t have and as far as aware no need to have gmail account to be on WhatsApp?! Also WhatsApp is mainly a phone messaging service - albeit using WiFi as opposed to phone signal - and my iPad isn’t that old but still don’t think I could get it on...

    Chair Gym TSV 25/03/20

Is this a spoof or for real?! Not sure if jumping on corona bandwagon? Maybe doubles as a hand and sanitiser!

    Stockpiling...

My sister in law has had all leave cancelled at hospital and is having to do 12+ hour shifts every day - despite normally having Mondays off to care for her own poorly mum - placed an Iceland order for the family... 5 of them, think it was only place she could get. All that got delivered was...

    Stockpiling...

All this talk of bread poultices (you what?!) and the like is making me feel very young! ;) In fact sometimes the forum in general makes me feel young (and I’m over 40 now!) But it’s fascinating to read when I can and makes me miss my own maternal grandmother! some of these old remedies and...

    Stockpiling...

Finding the stockpiling SO selfish! :( I have to do all my shopping online anyway and now my Carer is off because her daughter came into contact with someone with it (seems a person away to me but hey!), so can’t get usual supplies or even my prescriptions online ATM... People are lucky...

    Stockpiling...

I’m *very* concerned avout how NHS, services, supplies ans economy will survive, especially with the population self isolating for several months, BUT I do hope it will at least give people an insight into the reality of living with a chronic illness or disability... I realise 4 months sounds...

    Stockpiling...

Getting healthy 70+ year olds on self-isolate does seem young... I know lots of people in their early seventies who seem at least 10 years younger than their age in attitude, behaviour ans health! But if they really insist of keeping older people out of action, surely 75/80+ makes more sense...

    Stockpiling...

Hmm that’s a hard one... Not sure what the official line would on this, but I would have thought that you too wouldn’t need also to self isolate, unless you have symptoms yourself? Plus, presumably, you’d be the one needing to do shopping and errands for them I found they can’t? It’s a tough...

    Gatineau TSV 15/3/20

It is quite bright especially for Jill, but it’s way better than the awful dated split hem black trousers and bling-y blouses she often sports... To me too it’s got a lime green edge to the yellow! Does my head in when she goes on about hating green - so tedious!

    Stockpiling...

Nice to have a read of this and some common sense amongst all the madness... I am at high risk (autoimmune disease and already pretty poorly etc) but not at all worried about myself - and for once in my life there’s an advantage to being housebound LOL! But it’s pretty scary sounding out...

Lola Rose Jewellery Designs TSV 07/03/20

Well someone likes it as they’ve sold 4000 at midnight (apparently 2/3 stocks so guess they brought c. 6000) Not sure if this is a new feature but it’s soo annoying that there’s a screen behind the presenters across which is scrolling a roll of facebook feed photos. Niki herself is distracted...

Social Media - That was an eyeopener

Agreed :) I know people on here seem to have a particular problem with CH but not sure how you can knock this?! Who cares whether her other half is “deaf enough” to need to sign, it’s a great skill to learn and to have to aid communication with anyone who does...?

    Catherine Russell

She’s on Lola Rose midnight launch - complete with the massive hair, swept up and over, and the dated pearlised nail varnish.. They’ve got Charlotte modelling too - how many people does it take to wear a necklace?!

Lola Rose Jewellery Designs TSV 07/03/20

just got an email about pre launch of it snd it was actually seeming to boast that you’re saving “over 15%”! I thought it was a typo!! But then I just looked at the item online and it says: “*A great saving: If you were to buy the Belinda necklace directly from Lola Rose you’d pay £79. So for...

Lola Rose Jewellery Designs TSV 07/03/20

No, you’re not alone! I too have one LR bracelet which I was given as a gift many moons ago. I don’t hate it and wear it occasionally, though more for sentimental reasons that anything... But in general, I find them SO overpriced, largely uninspired and don’t often like the colour mixes etc. I...

Lola Rose Jewellery Designs TSV 07/03/20

She’ll “frame it” as saying she’s going back to the brand’s beginnings, but agree it just looks quite dated... Also all the models seem to be wearing it over the Phase Eight TSV tunic, but somehow, especially given how long the necklace is, it looks as if they’ve skimped a bit on the size of...

    Is it just me ....

Thanks for transcribing that - I was listening to it earlier (it’s so blinking catching!), but couldn’t work out the first word! Thought I was missing a noun which would make more sense of the whole phrase: sadly not LOL! ;)

    Phase Eight TSV 4/3/20

Oooh that was exciting for a moment - following the live TSV presentation at midnight (ie at 1am) - both presenters (or at least def CH) had their microphones left on. Only stayed on for about 30 seconds but was dying for her or them to say something incriminating! ;) (Sadly only really said...

    Phase Eight TSV 4/3/20

Oh and it’s free pandp for a change too - maybe it’s so that you can buy more than one to get the right size?!

    Phase Eight TSV 4/3/20

Neither the shape nor the shades seem to flatter or do much for any of them so far - presenters or models... Plus it’s the brightest “pear” I’ve seen! But to be fair to them, it is at least NOT the usual “sweaty betty” polyester or other man-made fabric (96%) - so it’s breathable but will just...
