See the idiots are flogging watches again. ;)

Varney on a Raoul U Braun watch - "this is very submariner like, isn't it."

Miss Gerrards - "It really is."

Me - It's really not, it's nothing like the submariner. Everything about the watch is totally different to the Submariner, if you think that is anything like a Submariner you need your eyes ****** tested, what a pair of numpties.

On the subject of vacuums, I caught a repeat showing of the Polti cordless last night with Rob. The Polti woman, can't remember her name, says they're that good that the tubby chef Paul Brodell (who owns a guesthouse doncha' know!) has had three of them. Erm, well they can't be that good if he's gone through three in the short time they've been selling them. Or maybe he's using all three in different parts of his guesthouse/restaurant. In which case, why?

Rob was also saying that they would be great for someone with their own cleaning company. No Rob, they wouldn't. A Polti cordless (or any cordless really) isn't meant for industrial work. It's built for light housework as evidenced by the small dust chamber and relatively low power.

I worked in the hospitality industry for nearly 30 years and almost every hotel, bar and restaurant that I worked in used a Henry. They were reliable, powerful and they last for years. in a medium-sized hotel they would probably need emptying once a week. I bought a Shark last year on Amazon Prime day just because everyone raves about them and it's great but I still have a 12 year old Henry for backup (that sounds ruder than it was meant to!)

Henry's are great, as you say reliable, powerful and last. I've had mine for a long time, needed to replace flexi hose, turns out as Henry is so popular getting spares/replacement parts is a doddle, loads of folks selling them on Amazon, Ebay etc.

Just how many more brands of watch I’ve never heard of can they produce?? Raul somebody or other tonight. Butler making those appalling noises - and that’s just his words. The watch expert in the Emperor’s new clothes. And more Chinese tiktoks than the Shanghai telephone directory…

They're one of the brands of Ben Mercato GmbH company, which is a wholesaler (wholesaler of a lot more than just watches) to tellly shopping channels in Germany and of course IW. Raul U Braun brand is named after Raul Uwe Braun, he's one of the top guys in the organisation at Ben Mercato.

Debbie is still around on QVC at least bless her
I’ll never forget her demo-ing one of the many miraculous cooking appliances that selly telly of all varieties seem to specialise in. I think it was QVC back in the 90’s, but it might’ve been early IW, in the days of Lavers, Watters and Flint - just before the fire that mysteriously destroyed their warehouse and all its stock. Whenever it was, Debbie was presenting alone.
Anyway, she gave it a huge build up - it was going to revolutionise everything - cook in no time - Debbie used it every day - it would be quicker and tastier - and at last she pressed the button and - nothing happened. Nothing at all. No sound, no light, no heat - nothing. It was very obvious that she had never used it before and didn’t know what to expect to happen, except that she knew it shouldn’t be this. She began to waffle. She went quiet. She waffled again. She examined the cooker closely. She pressed the button again and again - nothing happened.
A full two or three minutes later (and it seemed so very much longer), having tried every button, and every combination of buttons, she realised it wasn’t plugged in. Poor Debbie went pillar box red - but she kept on going.
I always had a sneaky admiration for her after that. And I bet she always checks the plugs on whatever she demo’s.

Now, if only someone could unplug Peter Simon…

Continuing on a nostalgic IW note.. I was wondering what happened to the bloke who used to say everything twice? I was wondering what happened to the bloke who used to say everything twice? Paul Price. Paul Price. A stocky, blond haired fellow, who was there for perhaps the first two or three years on Ideal World. He then just disappeared off the shopping telly radar. He then just disappeared off the shopping telly radar

I reckon Ray Mr Mulberry Silk is missng a trick and could save himself an absoulte fortune and never pay a penny again to have his Mulberry Silk duvets made again! Just have a 45 min slot talking and charge X amount and he could guarntee anyone with any issues a 8 hour sleep...........just listening to him drone on would quickly put anyone in a very deep sleep.

I need a lie down now..........🥱

I'm sure she's right.

Might only have 100 billion left in stock, as they are in meltdown. So, only 200 billion shows left. This week.

Good form from Gen, my great friend. We clubbed together to get Petey one. No not Volly, but simeone.

Mason is clearly distraught. He cannot buy the Earnshaw Tourbillon £3000 RRP Chinese watch. The watch his altruistically philanthropic bosses wish to sell to the great unwashed for £2500 less. He has to wait until the end of the show to order, he says, mournfully. And now he can’t, because the last one has flown out of proverbial door. Somebody should tell him that My Name is Den uses a reverse get them to buy technique by getting her long term director (D.W. Griffith) to order for her during a show. Somewhat of a contradiction on the actual rules for presenter buying there!! Stay safe, cherish your goddesses, wear a mask, wear a basque..,

I see the Earnshaw Westminster watch is still doing the jumping second hand feature 🤣 can Bordell stop saying there during every sentence 🤔

What would be more impressive would be if he stopped lying.

on RGMT - "They were founded in the US."

No they weren't they were founded in Ashley Road, just down the road from me, oh wait, sorry, wrong Ashley Road, it's the Ashley Road, in the Tsim Sha Tsui district of Hong Kong. ;):ROFLMAO:

Mason should ask if there is more, they said it's a limited edition of 10 and Earnshaw are keeping 1, so just 9 available, but the back of the watch they showed was marked number 01/30, so possibly another 20 to come, i've a feeling we will be seeing these again, with some excuse that some orders didn't go through.
