Thanks for all you do, Graham.

I don’t mean to pile on more aggro but I have noticed in the past couple of days I am getting big whole-page ads, which you can only get rid of each time by clicking the little cross top right. It’s usually when I click on the alerts “bell” at the top for new posts/replies. At first, it was just a small box - see first screenshot below from last week - but it still prevented you seeing the forum, and now bigger boxes are coming up as per the second shot. Does anyone know if I can change a setting myself somewhere?

I am getting the same. I use Microsoft EDGE browser on the PC, but this causes problems with other sites and some sites won't even load, I wonder if it is browser problem?

And the VIP shopper next to the names seems to have disappeared across the boards... presumably linked to that site crash earlier in the year.
Tbh, I wouldn't mind paying again, or even annually for access with much fewer ads.
You, Graham, and also Sazza do a brilliant and thankless job to keep the site up and running. It is highly appreciated.

While echoing everyone else’s thanks to Graham for keeping the site going, I have to say I’m getting all those adds again too.
Can we all pay to be vip’s again? Very happy to do so.

Agree about paying each year. Or whatever it takes.
 
Not sure why the pages ads are showing, I will look into that now.

When the site crashed earlier inn the year we lost all the VIP Information, I did post at the time but not sure where that post has gone.

Without Sazza this site just would not exist, not going to go into it again but still very much sadly the same reasons as in previous posts.

That said I will try to do my best to see where the full page adverts are coming from.

I really am sorry.

I saw the full page advert when I click on Ideal World, does it happen when you click on a forum? Once you have seen the full page ad does it appear again or just each time you log in?

I stay logged on…
If I click on a forum the full page add comes up. But not always… sometimes a little central add. I can always click them to make them go but it’s still very annoying…

Didnt realise the site had crashed but it explains where all the VIP’s have gone lol…

Like Claire I stay logged on both on my iPad and my Android phone.
When I come onto the site on my iPad I get a big advertising banner at the top and a thinner one rising up from the bottom of the screen. Once I get past that it is pretty ok.
On the Android phone it always seems a lot worse, mainly because the screen is so much smaller. Worst is that if I click in any notifications a full page ad opens up. Once I X it closed it doesn’t come up again… so it isn’t out of control.
am sure it seems better in the evening than earlier in the day.

That happens to me with the notifications. I couldn’t work out how to describe that lol!
I click on the notification button and up comes the full page add. I can click and it’s gone, and stays gone.

I literally just got the full page ad actually. I went to notifications which was showing one new post, which was yours, and when I clicked on it to view, I got the same whole page ad I showed you earlier. (Not sure why it’s mostly New Look - I’ve never bought from there!) I definitely get the ads more than once a day but I’m not sure if I get them more than once in a forum browsing session. Like others, I stay logged on - sometimes I leave the st.com tab open in my browser and return to it a bit later, and sometimes I open a new page, but this doesn’t seem to affect whether I get the ads. 99% of the time I’m on my iPad.
 
I am hoping that I have resolved the full page adverts if you are a member and logged in. I have tried 10 minutes clicking as “Forum Tester” and didn’t get and full page ads, could you let me know if this has resolved the full page ads, thank you.
