Ok - I know I should stop watching altogether if I find it so irritating, but I was actually hoping that the Lapidary hour might offer something innovative; now, due to "technical problems" it's been cancelled!

Gems is going from bad to worse; I have no idea what the Bennett's vision was when they rebought the company but it's becoming fairly evident that improvement wasn't part of the business plan!

Technical problems seem to plague auctions on a regular basis, pricing is arbitrary, presenting is dreadful and the jewellery, apart from Tookalon and a few other solitary items is either dull and ininspiring or luridly ostentatious.

Obviously the Bennetts are making enough to keep going, and are attracting enough new customers to replace the ones who remember better days and have jumped ship - I'm assuming it's not a priority to ensure that the technology is up to administering four channels or keeping loyal customers, so I'll take my money elsewhere....

I will still watch occasionally but won't buy anymore; I don't want to be shouted at or misled when parting with my hard-earned and, if Gems can't be bothered to take themselves off air until they have the technological resources to present professional programming with a consistent pricing structure, then I'm afraid I can't be bothered to participate....

I'm so with you Jinny, I was just about to open a thread entitled "shambolic" - lol. My grand-daughter was coming this morning to do my hair, but I changed the time to this afternoon (which will be more rushed) as I really wanted to watch this. To add insult to injury they were still advertising the schedule as 10.00 a.m. on Wedenesday 3rd November at 11.00 a.m. I think the PG chimps could make a better job of running this company.

I wasted two calls on the 0845 number as I was too fed up to look up the free number. The first seven minutes wait with no answer, the second six minutes - still no answer. To add to the mood waiting time is now filled with a bombardment of advertising that you are paying to listen to. I had been hoping that this collection might just help to restore my faith in this company, instead it's turned out to be the final nail in the coffin and we haven't even seen it. I cannot recall ever having felt so antagonistic towards a compay before this, particularly one whose goods I would actually like to buy. <a href="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fwww.smileycentral.com%252F%253Fpartner%253DZSzeb008%255FZNxpt484YYGB%2526i%253D36%252F36%255F2%255F42%2526feat%253Dprof/page.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_2_42.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D36%252F36_2_42%2526uiv%253D3.0/image.gif"></a>xxxxxxxxxx

It felt like a final straw for me too. So ruddy disapointed in GEMS TV. I have watched and bought for several years. I don't spend fortunes but i would like to think of myself as a regular and valued customer. I wish they felt the same.

I hate to say this but I think this is the worse they have been. I just finished watching 'watchdog' and thought "god, if they knew what gems tv get away with they would have a field day".

The only channel that gets my business these days is TJC

Where you can buy plain gold bands at £69.95 for 1.6g white 14K and £69.95 for a 2.5g patterned yellow 9K. No histrionics, no dodgy calculations against "High Street prices", just simply offered up for us to buy or not. xxxxxxxxxx

here here Argey.
Gems TV just seem really desperate, so much so it seems they have thrown all their morals and principals out the window in an attempt to grab viewers cash. star buys, rubbish about gold prices, patronising presenters, endless porky pies and unimaginative products.... the list could go on

enough is enough ! i am even sick of the Bennett's constantly coming on here trying to defuse certain problems but shying away from the real issues. if you are going to have a policy of coming on here to talk to your customers it should be across the board, not just for selected discussions.

i used to watch and have to stop myself from buying everything, i cant remember the last time i watched and was tempted.
