Has anyone else bought the Bodyblade and are you seeing results?

I too would be interested in hearing from anyone who has this and is seeing results - I considered it for a good few hours, but didn't go for it - thought it might end up just collecting dust ....

Jodie I did buy it Getting loads aches don't know whether it working or I'm doing it wrong lol. I have Oestepinia in my neck and spine and thought it might strengthen me up a bit but as I said before getting aches so don't know whether it's aggravating my bones. I do notice my arms not as flabby but maybe that me just wishful thinking

Buy it! OH lost 3 stone in a year with a moderate diet (ie just eating sensibly, not undereating) and using the bodyblade. It definitely helps tone up, particularly upper body.

Errr I have had a bodyblade for 18 months and it has hardly had any use. I am one of the ones who have found it difficult to master. Good news is that it takes up hardly any room. I'm on the case as from today as have flabby bingo wings.

well I have noticed my arms tightening. I keep it in a corner of room and through tout the day just flex away for a minute on arms. I find it hard to do some of the exercises but I'm not to worried about them all as long as I have mastered the basics.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas and he loves it. He does it every day, it's just so quick & easy - he can do it without thinking. Definitely tightened his arms & torso.

Which exercise are you doing for the arms?

Bought one about 15 years ago. The big disadvantage it has over an exercise bike is that you can't use it as a clothes hanger.

No matter what exercise you do you use the arms I just do the basic front arms out, side down with each arm . Kneeling chest press ,back and shoulder reach. Half kneeling ab crunch. Do you still have your poster? If you do just do any of them in the poster your arms will always be working.

I could never do the advanced as show in the video I'm not agile enough

www.bodyblade.com. Will show you exercises .

ILS - do NOT return it. Just keep plugging away at it and I'm sure you'll get the hang. I am the world's biggest cack-hand and was caught red (and cack)-handed by OH a few days ago. After much eye-rolling and derision at my stupidity at buying exercise crap from Q (not to mention wasting his money yet again), he grabbed it off me to show me how useless it is and has hardly put it down since!

When I do manage to get hold of it, I'm trying to get through the Super Six quietly, WITHOUT OH's help (interference!). I pick it up when I'm waiting for kettle to boil/something to finish cooking (though not something like a 2-hour roast or I'd be a A&E case!). A few minutes (seconds!) at a time actually gets my heart rate up (I'm horribly unfit, haven't exercised for 10 years due to illness), but it is manageable and it's something I'm using.

My osteo says I need to up my core strength as does my pain specialist, though I am a bit worried that I'm having twinges in my back since I've started. I find it difficult to get on the floor to do exercise and impossible to get back up without help (I'd love a good soak in a bath, but am unwilling to suffer the indignities of being heaved out like some beached whale, not to mention putting OH in A&E with a pulled back!).

Good luck with it - hope you sort your bingo wings and maybe get a six-pack at the same time (I live in hope that'll happen to me, but as OH often points out, I live in my own special little world!)

I can do some of the exercises with my dominant hand/arm but the other hand/arm cannot get the hang of it. OH has observed me and he cannot work out what I am doing differently. Of course he has no problems using it at all.

Exactly like me! My dominant side is much better than the other. I'm still doing the SS, but trying out different hand positions - clasping with interlinked hands for the overhead and side-to-side positions. In an attempt to build up the non-dom side, I've been trying a kind of up and down and shaking-my-fist in different positions to kind of acclimatise that side.

Important to note, though - I AM getting a teeny bit better every day so keep going at it. I can only do the side-to-side one properly for a few seconds before it throws me off, but I either keep trying or change positions and go back later. It's not a chore at the mo as I can't do if for long (low boredom threshold!).

HTH a little bit.

I got it a few months ago with the hope it will help me strengthen my core but daren't use it yet as I have been having physio for disc problem and trapped nerve.

I really want to use it but I am being sensible for now

Sharonk - have you tried asking your physio about it? I find some of them easy, but have stopped on other positions for the time being as I suffer with trapped nerves, too. I know now that a warning twinge is just that and if I don't want to be painfully locked up for weeks, to lay off what I'm doing and just move gently.

Hope you feel better soon.

I bought one and think it's great alongside other equipment. Didn't pay Q's crazy prices, though, as there are usually lots for sale on ebay complete with poster and (not very good) DVD.

Hi, no I haven't asked him. I did take my back stretcher thing I got from Q a couple of years ago, you know the thing that you lay on and you can adjust the arch.
He told me that will be great to use, only thing is last week I had interferential on my calf and that helped so I thought things were getting better, then suddenly on Saturday things got worse.
Had more interferential treatment on my hip and bum and ended up at the GPs after and was PX codeine, naproxen and Diazapam I was in such a state.
Still in pain nearly all the time but hey, the Diazapam makes it more bearable.

Goodness knows how I am going to cope this weekend, I have a car journey from Yorkshire to Dartford Friday Am followed by a 3 hour show. On Saturday I am at a graduation in the morning followed by two 3 hour shows........I am going to be crawling out of that ****** theatre!

Once my back is sorted I really want to get using the blade, it's annoying seeing it waiting to be used

Poor Sharonk! Do you really have to do all those things? I was laid up with back problems 2 years ago and it was only when it got so bad that I couldn't even stand for 30 seconds of n the kitchen that I took time off. Physio and neurosurgeon weren't keen on the back thing as it arches my back the wrong way. Bodyblade they were non committal about but said that anything that strengthened my core was good. Morphine Fentanyl patches did the trick once they had kicked in but not a great solution.

Well after about two weeks using this I won't be sending it back. Thoroughly enjoy using it. Aches and pains less and less and I have a lot more strength in my arms and am lasting longer each day. Getting to grips with the other exercises now. Only one I have problems with is arms round the back hopefully I will master it shortly,
