Carmel & Anna...views so far?

Well I like Carmel but just can't warm to Anna. There was some early comments about Carmel shouting but she seems to have quietened down a bit and I like her accent.

I have decided that I don't like Carmel her voice grates on me, and so far I am undecided about Anna.

But now I realise. I don't mind Carmel, there's nothing to dislike about her, but I can't warm to Anna. She seems to be trying just a little bit too hard to be perfect.

Haven't really seen them until today :wave: A blonde one is on now doing a beauty show. Not impressed at all. A bit hatchet-faced - more Bid TV than QVC. Perhaps she will grow on me once she has settled in. :smirk:

is the blonde one Anna? only seen her a few times, not seen Carmel at all. Bit early to make my mind up. She has a look of Debbie MaGee about her, that women who is married to paul Daniels. I can't say I have instantly taken to her, but she is new in her job and it takes time to settle in.

the irish one is like a female miceal... all accent and no substance. i saw the other one on a kuhn ricon show the other day and it was like she was on something. too manic. calm down dear.

I'm looking at Carmel now and that photo is flattering. I thought she was wearing a wig, but it's a dodgy hairstyle. I like her more as the show goes on and she seems harmless enough. No idea who Anna is.

Never seen Anna, but have seen Carmel. Her voice is very grating and I dont mean the accent, just the harsh voice. She also looks a bit scruffy or undone. Needs a good makeover or something.

I've got them mixed up!! I have not seen Anna, as I thought, it was Carmel. Clarity at last. Will keep an eye out for Anna but have not been watching much of late.

Watched a bit of a beauty show with Carmel presenting yesterday. She was dreadful. Same old stock phrases over and over again and at one point she obviously couldn't cope with the talkback from the gallery and extolled the virtues of Hairfix for the skin!!

And I'm already sick of hearing that she's getting married in 7 weeks and what she's paying her hairdresser etc! I lost count of how many times she mentioned it in part of a Ken Paves show.

Anna is cast very much in the same mould as Chuntley; a liitle bit over-eager, desperate to be liked. I hope it wears of soon; I find it painful to watch. Carmel seems less irritating to me.

I guess that's what they get for employing someone who spent so long working at the Sit Up channels and on those dreadful Casino/Roulette programs. They are constantly repeating themselves and saying the same things on those channels, and I guess the old habits are dying hard.

Maybe she will settle into QVC, but the loudness and shouting that was mentioned earlier in the thread is another staple of the Sit Up style of presenting. I've no issue with her accent at all, but as another poster said no-one gives a flying f*** that she is getting married in seven weeks, and she was constantly telling the same tales at Sit Up.

I always considered her a sort of steady hand; not the most charismatic but certainly more than capable of handling presenting duties. I personally thought she would do well on QVC (in one hour stints rather than the three and a half hour shifts), but from what I have seen I haven't been impressed at all.

Have given them both time to settle down but Carmel just seems too flustered all the time.

Anna I can't take to and seems quite a know all.

One thing is for sure, she shouldn't wear dresses.

They obviously didn't think of her modelling ability when they interviewed her. She in-toes badly.
