I saw a travel size of this, probably poor value but cheaper to try out.

According to Chunts all the presenters have been given an airwrap for a week to try but SHE BOUGHT hers months ago. Aye pull the other one, a freebie I’ll bet. Does that mean that there are 16 used ones which will be sent out to unsuspecting buyers.

Probably and all with hair wrapped around the hair wrap.

But if you got one of those you would have the presenters DNA and you could clone them, have an army of QVC presenters they would take over the world while wearing badly fitting clothing, dirty trainers using over priced LAB gadgets and very expensive hair dryers as weapons!!!

Give me the zombie apocalypse any day!

Off topic but looking for recommendations for my hair.

Naturally thick grey and has natural kinks once it is even a little longer than my usual short cut.
Whilst it is soft enough to the touch it looks coarse and I don’t like a lot of product.

I am looking for something to make it look smooth . I used one of those purple shampoos which was good but an awful mess and as we’ve just got a new bathroom stopped using it.
I hated the smell of the Ojon stuff, it actually made me sick.
Tried the Kingsley elesticiser but saw no improvement.

Any suggestions as the growing out layers are bad enough without the wirey look as well.

TIA

My hair is thick, just over shoulder length and if allowed to dry naturally has a frizzy curl and looks like a bad 80’s perm that’s gone frizzy. Like yours, my hair looks corse but is soft to touch. I find products clog my hair so I have to wash more frequently and tend to be very highly perfumed which trigger migraines.
I always straighten my hair to make it manageable...never looks like ‘glass’ or pump straight though, as no matter how I dry it it always frizzes.

I brought last weeks Tweak’d tsv (gutted as I missed the auto delivery) as I’d read a review from someone with thick hair saying how good it was, so gave it a try. I personally find it amazing for my hair, but guess everyone is different.
I think my hair goes frizzy as it’s dehydrated (probably not helped from the light straightening) and poofs up with any humidity. I’ve never really got on with PK elasticiser as it’s too fragranced for me and never seen a difference, but purchased some Tweakd Dhetalo Treatment from that auction site put that on the ends for an hour, then used the Tsv scrub, which I loved, Tsv shampoo then conditioner.

Blow dried it, which I’m not a pro at, just drag a brush through with hairdryer hovering over, usually looks similar to air drying tbh but after this it was almost debatable whether I needed to straighten it. Which was amazing as I usually have to straighten it and add lots of hair oil after to smoothen. Lasted an extra day between washes and I haven’t had greasy roots since using it either.

I like the smell of Tweakd products as to me it’s a mild rich nutty smell, but I remember buying a pot of some Ojon product from QVC and sending it back as it stunk like cigarettes.

Ditto. I saw the word Dyson and deleted it before reading anything else.

I would never spend that much on a hair gadget. It’s more than my combined gas and electricity bill for the winter and my hair’s fine with the things I use already.

I would like one, but I would never pay that amount of money for it. Just madness.

Jilly has has produced some truly awful fashion sights but she is presenting the Dyson Airwrap in what I think is a MW jacket and looks really good.Less of the floaty tents and more tailored may be the way to go? This £400 gadget is no good for my hair but it is nearly sold out.Plenty splashing the cash out there must be ‘lockdown hair‘ panic.

I am tempted to try it just because it is on ez pay. Really want to see if it's any good with the intention of sending it back. Surprised p&p is only £2.95.

Just now I would settle for a good hair cut and style . QVC and Dyson can keep their Airwrap, I never listen to AH so I will never be tempted by her spiel.

It’s apparently sold out. 😳 But it’s now on advanced orders which means we’ll still have AH burbling on at us.

QVC are clearly still wanting sales because they‘ve just mentioned it during the gardening show.

Obviously 80% pay is more than enough for a lot or is it to get over lockdown hair and once hairdressers are open it will go back? Maybe then know that but are banking (all the way ) on folk being so attached to it they will keep it,

As much as I'd love to try a hair dryer, or a hair styler that is quiet and ultra efficient - The price is just ludicrous, and to see that there are people out there who have given it 1 star reviews makes it even worse. To be fair even if every single review was brilliant, I still couldn't and wouldn't spend that sort of money on a hairdryer. No ****** wonder James Dyson's the richest bloke in Britain these days...laughing all the way to the bank!

I used to have one ( you can buy direct from dyson with interest free PayPal credit ) but found it gave old fashioned bouffant hair styles and it just lived in my drawer as an expensive mistake
Then I sold it on eBay for virtually what I paid for it

Just my experience is anyone us interested
I have quite long fluffy/ wavy hair and just wanted it tamed- I find straighteners the best tool for me , they straighten ( de fluff my fluffy hair) and curl all in one simple tool
Don’t own a hairdryer

Plenty of people are still working though so their financial situation is unchanged. People who aren’t working might be saving money in other ways e.g. travel costs and not socialising. I would be curious to try it but it is a hell of a lot of money for something I suspect I wouldn’t use very much. Personally I wasn’t impressed by AH’s look in the presentation I saw, I thought it was rather Charlie’s Angels!

Oh dear, what can I say without offending anyone. I am not a Dyson fan, having bought vacuum cleaners, the hot/cool AM09 etc. It is little wonder that Dyson is a millionaire when people are willing to pay his prices, it astonishes me that depending where you purchase this set, you can oay from just under £700 down to QVC £449.

I have long hair and I am older than Julia Roberts, who has health issues with medication, yet it doesn’t seem to effect her hair (my hair is not as long as Queen Julia) but it has affected my hair both in thinning and texture which is common if you are on meds.

It just astounds me that we Brits would encourage paying this for a hairdryer. I think it’s foolish and I can’t get my head, pun intended, round who would pay this for a hairdryer/styler.

Astounded, but don’t want to offend the millions on this forum who might well have one🥱

Hair oil, yes that is right. Double crown slight kink thick hair which I home colour and blond hair is never as shiny as darker hair I just cannot be arsed with so the hairdresser trying to talk me into a bob will never happen. Now, the one I will name is selling your firstborn but I got it in a kit half price in the sale very little needed. Oribe Gold Lust hair oil. Now there are others you can buy but my hair is smooth soft shiny. Hair oils will not leave your hair greasy you only need a tiny amount and it helps smooth down the cutcile of the hair hence a very smooth shiny finish. Styling products moose etc will dull your hair down and cause build up.

Yes, makes the hair very heavy! :)

Did you get/try the clippers, Donna?

I doubt you’ve offended anyone because people who’ve bought it would no doubt themselves admit that £400 was a ridiculous price for it. I’m lucky that I could afford to buy it, I say “could” but never would, never in a million years. I think the multi millionaire James Dyson will be still comfortable without my £400, wouldn’t pay that for his fans either.

Just had a quick look and Pipa/Pippa/Pipppa is using it but noticed her hair was partly dry before she started, deceitful? I think so. AH looks a right state in her mint green ensemble, shoulder padded dress, looks like she’s about to play for the NFL.

I couldn’t be arsed with the time it takes to use these things. Bliddy miffed that when I go out I have to spend time taming the ruddy mess mine is in at the moment. Any thoughts I had of using this opportunity to grow out layers is def out the window as it would take at least another 3 months and if I thought I would be under house arrest again I would just go for a buzz cut! If I’d known at the start it would be this amount of time I would have done it at the start as for most of the time I was no further than the garden.
