I placed an order for an Aeropilates accessory which was despatched last Friday. Tracking info which takes me to the Hermes page shows that it was 'On its way' on Saturday and that was it. Nothing more. Very unlike them, usually once it says this I receive the item the next day.

I did ring QVC but they said to allow a week from when Hermes received it, which I find strange. Looking at my Facebook page re Hermes deliveries some people are receiving 'There's a delay' notices but I've had nothing like that. I'm a bit flummoxed.

Can anyone shed any light on why the hold up might be plse or is it just a local thing?

I ordered a Dyson fan before Christmas for Christmas delivery and i had a similar issue with hermes tracking
after about 5 calls to Q they accepted it was ‘lost’ and sent out another one using dpd which I received only a few days ago
the fan came in it’s dyson box ( no outer box ) advertising the contents so the original one probably stolen by someone at Hermes

Crikey that's bad. Well I hope nobody's stolen my Aeropilates cushion as they're out of stock now.

I've posted on here before regarding the very poor service I have from Hermes, most of the time. I am not one of the Qurio Ladies by the way, but I have bought a lot online recently, partly as it was Christmas and also because I live far away from a town or city so online shopping is easier!

I wrote months ago about my KitchenAid mixer that went astray twice, at least one of them was delayed by a 'major event', there was no outer box so it was obvious what it was. The third was delivered to my door by a very pleasant lady from Hermes.

I also wrote about a Hermes courier dumping parcels, not all for me, outside my gate, in the dark and rain and the proof of delivery photo gave no clue where they had been left, it was simply a photo of the parcels or labels. This has now become the norm.

The worst case was when GHD straighteners were left outside the gate and when I found the box, it was very wet and partially open, I was so angry with Hermes at this point, that I took photos, not that I thinking that anything was missing. However, there were no straighteners in the box, just the free gift of a Paddle Brush, which was in a GHD box, was still inside the outer box. GHD replaced the straighteners using Parcel Force, but it took over a month, so it was a late Christmas gift. It wouldn't have been a passerby who took the straighteners, they would have just taken the whole box!

I then ordered an XL dog bed from QVC, first one wasn't delivered, second one was sent out, but again not delivered, but the day QVC agreed to refund me for it, it turned up at my door - very pleasant lady again, it was a massive box, not easily misplaced. In the meantime, the first dog bed was marked as having been delivered to me on 31/12/2021 at 2359 but dated 7 January, no proof of delivery strangely enough !

There have been others, but last one I'll mention was a set of Estee Lauder Lipsticks I'd spotted on QVC. I then found them in FeelUniques' sale and as I had a voucher, they were a bargain! I received a message from Hermes with a delivery slot of 1300 to 1500, I then got a message at 1700 to say this parcel is bigger than we expected, so a specialist Hermes courier will need to deliver it. We're sorting this now and we'll update your tracking as soon as it's on its way - a box of lipsticks. Needless to say no further update to that delivery. The replacement from FeelUnique was left on my gatepost yesterday !!

I always give Hermes feedback on my delivery, via their Tracking App, but nothing changes, I also let the supplier know too, I'm sure QVC must be a very big customer of theirs, but nothing happens.

The only time we had an issue with Hermes was when an Amazon parcel was late in early December. This was due to the courier having Covid and no one able to pick up her round due to illness and isolating.

My L'occitane tsv went missing via Hermes and it took nearly a month to get a replacement, I wasn't the only one who lost theirs either, as mentioned on the TSV thread before christmas, it still irks me and QVC weren't very helpful even though I rang 3 times and emailed twice. I got my P&P back but would have rather had the item on time. Not happy with Hermes and never will be.

I had two parcels go astray, ordered end of November for Xmas presents, tracking sat on “there’s been a delay we will deliver your parcel the next working day” but after two weeks qvc replaced them, no quibble. Replacements received very quickly then a few days before Xmas the original parcels appeared. Now returned to qvc as replacements were already wrapped. Local courier mentioned huge backlog due to shortage of staff due to isolation/illness etc

I know my Hermes courier well and she and team are lovely and really efficient...

Last week they delivered two Superdrug orders (one order, two boxes on different days!) exactly on time etc.

But SD had missed an item out of order so had to do one of those very annoying online chats and sent replacement out.

Got new tracking link and delivery day for it for last Sat, then suddenly on the day something about a delay and NADA since?!

Something v similar happened with Hermes before Xmas when something was en route and then the tracking went dead!

All very odd esp as usually faultless...

I've never had any issues with them until recently when my parcel was shown as being delivered between 10.00-12.00 and it didn't arrive until the following day, and was left on the doorstep, in full view, when it's usually put in a discrete place if I don't answer. Their next delivery was by an older courier, who looked well beyond retirement age to the point of being on the very of doddery. I can only guess that the usual two were forced to self-isolate and they bought in extra help.

Hermes always seem to deliver on time. Sometimes their returns take forever - or it could be QVC being slow with their refunds. Royal Mail deliveries seem to take longer - a set of vitamins didn't turn up before Xmas so I went for a replacement

Hermes have always been good but I ordered a small bag of bird food from RJ's own website on 30 December and I still don't have it. There was a delay in dispatch but it should have been here by now. My driver may have covid so I'll just have to wait.

I also ordered the 2kg bag of bird food from Richard Jackson’s site on 31st December. I rang after 8 days to see when it would be dispatched and was told that it was currently out of stock and could be up to two weeks before they got more. (Odd then that he was flogging the big bags on QVC at the weekend. 🙄)

I told them that I wanted to cancel the order. I only got my refund on Monday after ringing twice more and then emailing them. I did get a nice reply to my email though. It wasn’t the generic rubbish reply that QVC send out.

So I guess the delay is not down to the courier but because they’re still awaiting stock. 🤔

My Hermes courier is very good but my order seems to be stuck at Hermes depot and not sent on its way to her. I phoned QVC again today and they're going to try and chase it. It's definitely out of stock now so if it has gone missing I'll be really disappointed.

Thanks Toril. I only ordered it because they sent me a £5 voucher and I just thought I'd try the bird food. RJ's website are usually quite speedy delivery so they must have had a supply problem as you say. I wouldn't be taking people's money though if I didn't have the items in stock.

That’s why I ordered it as well - the £5 off voucher. I also wanted a small bag rather than a huge sack of it.

I was told by two different customer service guys that they were awaiting stock, but I couldn’t be bothered to wait ages so I cancelled the order. You’ll no doubt get yours once the stock is in.

I had a delivery today - Skechers I ordered on Sunday 9th and Hermes had had since the 10th. The tracking was stuck at ”your parcel has been delayed” since 9.16am on the 11th, so 10 days ago. I already told QVC this week that I didn’t want them now as it would be too late and they said they’d send me a return label if they did turn up. Just as well because I stupidly listened to Flinty say these Skechers fit small so go up a half-size (she might have said a full size). I have lots of Skechers and in all but one case, 6.5 were perfect, but I ordered 7 on her advice and guess what, they are too big!! Who’d have thought a presenter of her calibre could mislead?? More fool me!
