I know that backless flat slides (whatever) with a shoe like front are very much in vogue, but why do I think they look like the model is wearing her slippers as she flaps up and down the catwalk ? (Kimmy model on now). Honest to God, these designers have nowhere else to go except making us (well not me) look ridiculous :D

The wrong footwear can absolutely ruin a look. Didn’t see these shoes but I can imagine. Everybody makes the wrong choice of footwear every now and again - but the stylists at Q do it as a matter of course...and they’re meant to be fashion professionals. Dresses with shoe boots, stiletto heels with half mast trousers, maxi dresses with filthy trainers and clumpy heeled sandals that suit no one!

I know which shoes you're talking about, remind me of what a genie would wear! Jackie( Nina Leonard amb) wore a pair of gold ones the other day, looked very strange😮. They had a Hobbs of London clearance show the other day and had Ali( B&W model) in a shiny long length dress. Not even she could make thst creation look good, she even took the belt off to try and her face said it all 👎

Totally agree. In reality the stylists have no idea what looks good. Q have a mainly middle aged plus audience, yet they're trying to make us look like daughters and granddaughters. Well, with our well worn feet with misshapen toes, corns/bunions, mortons neuromas etc etc then putting us in an open toed shoe-boot with a summer frock is beyond stupid. (even the models have feet that should never be aired in public !!). Ali Keenan loves her over-the-knee- boots, which is fine, but I still have the mindset that they belong in a porn film worn by a dominatrix in chains 🤭 🤭

I think qvc have got it all wrong with the models...It's as though they go from one extreme to another with very little middle ground. You've got your plus size models (all young) and then the rest are skinny minnies and what's more they've all got height. They pretty much go from 5'9" - 6ft . The amount of times they say "so and so's 5ft 10 and this comes to her mid calf so if you're 5ft 4 say it'll come down to your ankles...how about getting in a few less Amazonian models. In another thread it's mentioned that the majority of Q's presenters are ex models and dancers.....and whilst they do have a few with less height and more, lets say "homely figures" they send them out looking like nothing on earth 'cause they can't be arsed to make an effort - Well that's what it looks like! The older ladies who model all look like "models" if that makes sense...very poised and not your average Josephine. IW s models are much more real...seem like real people and not "clothes horses". Q know their demographic but they couldn't give a flying *%$ as long as they're looking like a "Glossy magazine" I think their fashion department needs a complete overhaul from top to bottom - starting with the stylists...they haven't got a clue and they need to go!

Yes, I agree IW has Lynn and Sheila - both stalwarts of the catwalk, and know their stuff. They haven't got 'young' bodies, and have curves like the rest of us. Had they been on Q, they would have long gone by now. We have 'just out of modelling school' models, who, when asked if they are wearing Small or Medium, just gaze blankly, as if they don't understand ! (perhaps they don't and they're not models from Britain - or Eire)

I'd like to see every item of clothing on one model with a pot belly, thick ankles and bingo wings (no, I'm not volunteering) as well as on another skinny minnie model - one average to tall and one short to average - just so we're all represented and can see what we'd really look like in their "collections". I agree about the IW models - all great and all normal.

They're taking a risk when certain presenters with larger hips and belly wear some creations,in reality it looks terrible. When the model wears it our brain thinks ' I know I'm not that tall or slim but,I MIGHT look ok. Sadly it never works out & we still fall into that trap! I've noticed with one of the 6ft models even she is body conscious with certain pieces...so frustrating!

You'll have a giggle, get support by the bucket load & be able to vent your Q induced irritation. As for emojis -when you reply just click on the smiley face in the line above the box, it opens up a whole world of cartoon possibilities.
