Ela's becoming a bit defensive - coming out with the " where can you get to try something for 60 days and return it? " spiel. My response to this would be "yes and they'll charge you a million quid to return it, then send it back out to someone else" - "Do you know where your massager has been?"!🤮
I love online shopping as much as the next person, but I shop around for the best deal - It really isn't difficult! I get that shopping channels like Q give demonstrations, and that can be helpful, but it most certainly doesn't prevent you getting a bum deal. It really isn't wise to take Q's word for it every time. All these updates on stock levels, and certain colours and sizes being "vulnerable" are designed to rush the viewer into buying. Let's face it, its the viewers that are vulnerable, not the stock!
Loving Erika's comment saying that now she's only going be buying things she needs or really wants - What?! You're gonna start shopping like a normal human being? mmm, I'll believe that when I see it!

I can't view the app on my old phone (T-Rex roaring away on the ad campaign) but can't fathom why these people are flaunting the receipts at all. I think when you know you have a problem (I was well aware), I used to shred the recepts immediately. I never returned anything and used to get so irritated with myself and embarassed that I just couldn't bear to look at them. Different story now, I keep all receipts, am not shy of returning, although I haven't done any returns as I now only buy what I am sure I will keep. Never would I have paraded myself on an app, surrounded by shopping receipts. Now, if I win the lottery (I won't as I don't play) but I would film myself covered in 20's lol

The receipts from QVC are so difficult to read with that tiny font as LATI said. I think that the Qurio ladies are still happily paddling down de-nile and have not faced up to their problem. It will catch up with a lot of them and probably this year. Energy bills are massively increasing and I think a lot of low interest mortgages are going to become a thing of the past. If you are on a fixed rate the mortgage could sky rocket when the fixrd rate ends. Private rents also look set to increase as the landlords mortgages go up. This crazy out of control borrowing simply has to stop.

Let's hope KatyP enjoys her dinner tonght, maybe she could post a copy of her bill for all the lovely laydeees to drool over?

Come on Ela, you've blown your cover, we know you are reading this thread! The message about overspending is absolutely appropriate on Qurio, like there are gambling addiction helplines in casino's. Personal debt is at an all time high in the UK and is predicted to climb to 2 trillion pounds, that's £2,000,000,000,000, by 2025. It is a sobering number being fed, a large part, by shopping addicts such as seen on Qurio. Not just on the tatty appy, I am sure the lovely laydeees are spending willy nilly all over the shop, pardon the pun. Don't get defensive, get proactive!

Hubby and I have a credit card each and a Debit card. I have quite a few store reward cards but that's it.

Credit cards were used for shopping online for Christmas presents,we start in October and spend X amount each month. The only other items is the weekly shopping,we have Morrisons one week and Sainsbury's the next.

The bills are on dd with the building society so are paid in full every month.

Sorry I don’t have the tatty appy so only know through this thread, have fellow Qurio members been commenting or does she mean here?
Some of the other members of Qurio have commented negatively about the amount of receipts for Q purchases some of the other members were "showing off" - not only that, there's been an influx of comments pointing to other retailers who are selling the same stuff cheaper...One of them was even brazen enough to review a range of skincare products from Aldi. It's possible that some of them have seen this thread. Ela stated that this sort of comment belongs on another forum. Does she mean this forum, or just "another forum"? Who knows!
Excuse the cliches, but at the end of the day it was the Elephant in the room. Not just the piles of invoices being shown off, but the rubbish some of them were buying, the high prices, the p&p and the compulsive shopping on display. It only took one person brave enough to prod that elephant before others started chipping in!
I see no sense of community on the app, but I guess if one person does, then it's a community. All I see is people wasting money and fishing for compliments. I find it rather sad when you consider the whole reason for its existence is to get more revenue for QVC.

People who continue to spend on unnecessary rubbish are going to have to change their trousers when the credit card bills come in on top of vastly increased energy bills, food costs and quite possibly mortgage interest hikes. It's not sustainable and outgoing are going to start exceeding income if some of them aren't careful.

Maybe Erika’s shopping habits have come to light? That quite a big about turn from buying all and sundry and some items in more that one colour to being discerning, buying only if necessary, which is very little.
Jennywren and Ela are neck and neck now no sign of Nicola she has found better deals direct or Aldi well done lola 😊

She said people shouldn’t comment on the Qurio app about how much they spend on qvc but then they shouldn’t show off all the invoices of what they have bought then no one would comment 😬

Are you implying they might be a dodgy shade of brown?! lol Funnily enough I was thinking earlier that these trousers, sold under the name "Women with control" Firstly they sound like a bladder leak product, and "Women with control" - not over their spending that's for sure!
