Yes, I think that's her - the newest presenter. I haven't seen 'Proskins' so can't be absolutely sure though.

WRT the S&E watches, what really worries me is that - with all this corona virus palaver - will the specialist insurers be open for business so the buyers can insure their timepieces?
I know, the folks that buy these Baselworld specials, will be nervous wrecks, imagining having these precious luxury heirlooms sitting in their homes uninsured.:ROFLMAO:

Have to laugh at the Bloomfield "sports" watch, it's a "sports" watch has a water resistance of only 30 mtrs, and they have the cheek to have a diver style bezel on it, a bezel that non rotational to boot. Some sports watch. :ROFLMAO:
Peter Simon Classic quote - "Swan & Edgar competes favourably with some of the biggest brands in the world." :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Anybody who pays £140 for those Cufflinks & Pens needs locking up, sorry to say this, anybody falling for this crap has to be an imbecile. The crap from these two tonight is unbelievable. :ROFLMAO:

Personally I think Swan & Edgar should make an official complaint to Aliexpress, it's obvious that brands on Ali are producing homages of the Great British designed Swan & Edgar luxury watches, it's just not cricket. :ROFLMAO:
Or maybe it's the other way around a Chinese design pinched by the British.

IW - £129.99 + 4.99 p&p

Ali Express - £25.68 & free postage from China.

The Swan & edgar VT says, "from Swan & Edgar who produce, high quality, hand assembled British designed timepieces"

They don't produce anything, they order them from China, it's a Chinese factory that produces them.

Peter - "extrodinary relationship blah blah, four generations of watchmaking blah blah, this time last week, they were all packed up and ready to launch in the biggest watch fair in the world, as we all know the occurring events, so tonight, and I do means this, there has been some extraordinary people, working so hard to bring this to air."

Just one question Peter, why the hell would they be packed up all ready to launch at Baselworld last week?
Baselword was cancelled a MONTH ago on the 27th February.

Seems it takes quite a few people to get these watches onto IW, they must all carry the boxes in when the delivery from China arrives, what more is there to do?

Of course you're forgetting they will need a script writer to write all the delusional crap their spouting, can't believe the the guy Fields or the presenters have the intelligence to come up with the sheer nonsense in these shows. Now I know IW are good at nonsense on watch shows, but these Swan & Edgar shows are in a class of their own. Remember the Swan & Edgar guy barely uttered a word his first few shows on IW, now he never shuts up, I've never heard anyone utter so much drivel on watches as this guy in my life. :ROFLMAO:

See they copy of the article is being shown again, and Peter Simon pointing out the yachts, Mercedes car etc as the kind of people who would be buying these watches.
Well if I owned a Mercedes think I would be wanting something a bit better than a Swan & Edgar on my wrist and if I owned a yacht, I certainly wouldn't be taking a Swan & Edgar anywhere near it, they're only 30 mtr water resistant. :ROFLMAO:

Must have been a bit of inflation this afternoon, earlier they were worth £350-400, now they're worth £300-500, made by some of the finest watchmakers, according to Peter.

More lies today.
The Swan and Edgar man is falsely claiming that the watches on the show were intended for 'the world's most prestigious retailers'.
Which retailers James ?
Please come on here and name one.
that'll never happen. :ROFLMAO:
I've had a search but apart from their own web site and Ideal, can't any jewelers etc selling them.

Peter says you’re getting a £400 watch James Fields replies and people who see it say they expect to see another zero on the end of that price. £4000 delusion idiot.

Now Peter has said if you love Omega, if you love Patek Philippe, you'll love this. It's watch i posted above, that's £25 from Ali. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

This show is something special, a pair of delusional idiots is an understatement. Just one lie after another.

I'm quite frankly disgusted by all of you that post negative stuff about IW. You should hang your heads in SHAM, oops sorry I mean SHAME.

They are constantly doing the buying pubic favour after favour. You want examples? Fine, I'll give you examples. They regularly sell us watches for literally hundred of pounds less than they should be selling for. If a watch should be selling for £1000 they will do us a favour and sell it for £199 but BE QUICK cause once they're gone they're … until the next show that is. I reckon they don't make any money on their watch shows given how much savings they pass on to us lucky buyers, heck they're more like a charity.

And they provide a public service by giving us memory tests. Let me give you an example. They'll sell a steam floor cleaner one week, telling (and showing) us how RUBBISH a mop and bucket is. Then, the next week, they'll sell us a tarted up mop and bucket. Now what they're doing here is providing a service. They don't really WANT us to buy the mop and bucket, they want buyers to stop and think 'emmm I ain't that stupid, last week you told me a mop and bucket is a RUBBISH DIRTY way to clean a floor.'

They're not jumping on the virus bandwagon at all, how dare you think they are. Yes, the other night they were selling a £900 coffee making machine and the excellent presenter hinted we could be 'playing with it making coffee while we have to stay in' but hey, that was nothing to do with linking buying to the virus, said presenter just had our best interests at heart.

Another charitable thing they do is to sell us a certain range of beauty products that should be retailing at £1,000,000 but IW are almost giving it away to us for £39.99. See ... nice. How can you think otherwise. AND they encourage learning by having their experts be experts on one thing ... then another ... then another. And they encourage the arts by having actors pretend to be experts. None of this is done to pull the wool over our eyes you understand.

So you see, you've got IW and selly telly in general ALL WRONG. Now go HANG YOUR HEADS IN SHAME. Oops I did it again, I mean SHAME.

Never seen this presenter before (Shona, no surname given) but she kept calling electric bikes "electronic bikes", which I suppose might be technically correct even if a bit strange. Guessing Shona's new to Ideal World because she isn't quite as polished as the regulars, but given time Shona will be spouting nonsense like the rest of them (sadly). And now she's telling a story about previously swapping her conventional bike with a friend's e-bike which is something I don't think actually happened, but hey ho ;)

Good luck to Shona anyway (y)

Yesterday, on the earlier S&E watch show, George Formby warned us that he expected the stock to sell out long before the show was finished. I'm guessing he had his uke under the table in case he needed to fill the remaining airtime with a medley of classic hits ('Oh Mr Woo' 'My Little Stick of Blackpool Rock' etc)

I turned off thinking that many discerning watch collectors would be bitterly disappointed when the stock (including the couple of luxurious freebies) had gone.

Imagine my relief when I saw Peter selling the S&E watches that same evening. Thank goodness that one or two collectors didn't 'check out their baskets' leaving other collectors with the chance to own these prestigious timepieces.

May I say, those (ahem), alleged watch collectors could be a certain someone (could be me), being naughty by deliberately not checking out their baskets?

What a naughty thing for someone to do but most excellent all the same

Peter Simon has recently been reading out alleged stock levels of watches as if he's calling out bingo numbers: '5', '11', '7', etc., only to repeat the process with a slightly different set of numbers half an hour later, presumably yet another desperate attempt to drum up business because according to Pete they surely would have SOLD OUT due to the HUGE DEMAND they are having (not) (y)

They must think the buying public are thick, often reminding us they don't condone pressure sales tactics when it's blatantly obvious the entire methods/processes they utilise are designed to make viewers think 'I'd better buy one RIGHT NOW!' you know ... like the mattress for £299 that will be going back up to £899 so be QUICK ... even though we all know it'll be back on a show within x days/weeks at the same low price.

'We're CRAZY busy folks, only 0.2 secs into a 20 hour show folks and we're CRAZY busy!!! Hey listen, far be it from me to tell you what to do, you're in control, but if I were you I'd be CHECKING OUT MY BASKET NOW and then you can relax watching the rest of the show ... but hey ... you do what you want to do but just sayin' we're CRAAAAAAAAAZY BUSY!!!!!!!!!!!'
