Pity you didn't take to a watchmaker/repair place, they might have got it working again if it was mechanical or even been able to replace the movement if it was a quartz. ;)
I've had a couple of my late dad's watches for the last 30 years, he wore them in 70s and 80s and both are still working, neither has any real monetary value, in fact cost of keeping them going is more than they are worth, but they have sentimental value which out-ways any costs.:)
Sentimental value is priceless.

I should still have it somewhere lying around. I would love to get it going again, as it was a beautiful watch. And now he is no longer here, 2008 from lung cancer, I think it would probably make him happy in Valhalla.

Rob Locke has just admitted to some of the stuff shopping channels sell is a load of poop poop.

He said the thing with shopping channels, you aren’t always selling something which is top notch

In technology terms, he's actually quite right. Although he's really spoiling the show as he getting way off topic for that machine, think Grant is a bit embarrassed by him, all Rob Locke this Rob Locke that.

The machines IW sell are really just for folks surfing the internet etc and playing some games.

I get my PCs from PC Specialists, you can customise your machine to your needs.

Agree there with Grant, would never buy a touchscreen laptop or PC, who want fingersprints all over a screen, bad enough on a phone or tablet, but to hell with that on bigger items.

Rob - "what did you say the storage was."

Grant - "512 GB"

Rob - "wow, if you want to know if that's a lot, i've got a GB which is double what this has got, in my current computer it's only a 256 GB drive and managed in 3 years to get up to about 70GB, it's very hard unless you've got a lot of video."

Grant - " I have my current laptop for I believe 8 years, and it has 128GB of space, now i have filled that up, but i do video editing, audio production."

I think he meant to say TB not GB. ;):ROFLMAO:

Anyway, what bunch of amateurs, the way Rob Locke was speaking earlier thought he must be a big user of his PC with all his video editing etc, but he's only filled up 70GB in 3 years. :ROFLMAO:

Geesh, just on the PC i'm using at the moment (not counting one in room next door), it has 4 Hard drives, with over 1.7TB stored on them and another 1.5TB free, heck one 45 minute program recorded in HD from IW takes up about 5GB, and the programs recorded from IW for ASA takes up 84GB in size.:ROFLMAO:

Oh I wonder if IW watch sales will be hit with a new retailer, for VE, Mathey-Tissot, Traser etc, opening up in the UK on the web.
I'm assuming it's Kevin Reynold's son, Chris Reynolds (and his wife) who has started Just4Watches ltd last month, the business address is the same as Kevin Reynolds Watchbase ltd, maybe Kevin is about to retire and pass the mantle onto his son, but unlike Kevin, Chris Reynolds is selling direct to the public.

They've a sale on at moment, although only VE watches in stock, but prices are a wee bit cheaper than IW's show prices.
