It’s a super bit of kit and the price is going to be around £25 so a really great deal, too!

You can read the whole blog (scroll down for the bit about the product) here.

Thanks maymorganlondon, much appreciated, I've seen it on Qvc US. I only just saw your response so I'll take a look at CH's blog now.
Thanks again

It seems a good idea and the reviews are good however i don't think the presentation was very good , most of the food didn't looked cooked properly , surely if this way of cooking is so quick there's no excuse for that :S Be interesting to see the reviews for this in a few weeks.

Simon said it should not be submerged in water - just wiped out - so as not to get water inside the holes on the bottom.

I don't like the sound of that as I like to clean things properly and just wiping around doesn't seem enough for me.

I have a halogen oven and prefer to cook with that, so won't be needing this thing. I will leave the microwave to just reheat things and make my porridge in the morning.

I have the best of both worlds a Microwave with a built in convection oven and grill. It was a which best buy and under £200.00. I got mine from John Lewis with an extra years guarantee.
I use it for everything from roast chicken to porridge to jacket potatoes. It has a whole range of preprogrammed options so most things are cooked to perfection. I do always check though as I think that is just common sense.
I haven't had to use my "big" oven for well over 18 months now. So it is saving ££££.
But If I hadn't got this I might have given this TSV a go.

I bought the previous one a few years back and to be honest, hardly used it because it didn't grill as well as my grill pan and stuck to the bottom. It ended up taking up valuable space in my cupboards so out it went.

Which model did you buy from JL? My Sharp from JL has just broken after 5 years. I had the element replaced and now the turntable has stopped going round.

Is this really any different to the browning dish my Dad used in the 80s? His was from Boots Cookshop and I "inherited" it when he died in 1990, and he'd had a couple of years even then.

Simon says "poached eggs take 10 minutes in the microwave with the rangermate" They only take a couple of mins in a pan of water! Mr Akimbo commented that the flat roast chicken looked like roadkill....I'm not selling this am I?

I agree the presentation didn't look great - food looked underdone. Agree also that I like to be able to clean things properly (as I'm always the one doing the cleaning in our house). Another agreement is with Julius - I couldn't live without my halogen oven as I use it every day for anything that needs grilled or baked. It even does cheese on toast :mysmilie_59: Not really interested in the TSV.

I haven't got space for a halogen, I have an air fryer, I am very happy with that, it would be nice to use the microwave for more than heating up ready meals, but I simply no longer buy from Q.

I've got a Tefal Actifry and a Halogen oven and they're both brilliant pieces of kitchen equipment, I haven't used my normal oven for as long back as I can remember, thoroughly recommend a Halogen oven to anyone.

Have QVC done any Halogen ovens recently? It used to be every time I turned on IW a few years back there was a halogen oven pick of the day.

No May, I don't think QVC have ever done a Halogen Oven. I bought mine from IW, I've bought about four over the years, once you've used one you can't be without one. They save money by not having to put your grill on for say, cheese on toast for example, or putting your oven on to cook a Pizza, a Halogen heat comes on immediately. Yes, thoroughly recommend them, mine have cost roughly £49.99 for an 11 litre one with an extension ring taking it to 15 litres and accessories. They're always on flexi pay too which makes it easier
