Sir Terry Wogan, renowned for his work on Radio 2's breakfast show and Children In Need, has died of cancer at the age of 77.

So sad

Sorry to hear about Sir Terry - lots of laughs over the years I have listened to him, especially on the radio. Another lost to Cancer!

Just loved him. Knew there was something badly wrong when he dropped out of CIN at the last minute. Not something he ever did in the 30 odd years.

3 lost this year already and only a month into new year. So sad.

I was so shocked when I saw it on the early morning news
I thought he was just resting after back surgery as that was the reason given
for him not doing children in need
Even Richard Madley mentioned on his show this morning he thought he was just covering for Terry while he recovered from back injury
Such sad news
