He's good at presenting cookware. but not too hot at cooking. The aubergines in his aubergine casserole had turned black and were swimming in an evil looking grey sauce; his scrambled eggs with tomatoes had turned pink, and his roast lamb was overcooked, dry, and shredded. Maybe QVC use the same cooked dishes for every show for the 24 hour period of the special value. Obviously the cakes are turned out of the tin and then put back in for the next show. He moves around the kitchen quickly, I'll give him that, but I hate looking at his long, pointed fingernails when the camera gets a close up.
