Has anyone noticed that?

If you say anything to call JM up on anything, you get rained on by the dieharders!

I asked why they measure beads in carats, (when they are not the Big 5). And I get, "crystal beads are lead crystal" etc...didn't say they were!

It's absolutely shocking. I saw someone call another poster an "old bag" for defending another who was being bullied for having made a trivial negative point. Absolutely shocking place. The presenters keep telling us about the "facebook family" yeah right, a warring and, as you say, completely sycophantic one - horrid. Welcome to sanity where you can speak your mind within acceptable limits and without abusing your fellow posters, which is exactly how it should be. xxxxx

Amen to that

Thank you! I wonder why they're like that with JM on Facebook, do they want something? :wonder:

Welcome pigeonpie

Goodness! I've never seen JM facebook and reading the above two posts will stay well away. Better to post on here where its far more civilised. Btw it was a good point as I wonder why a string of minor gemstone beads is measured in carats, far easier and useful to give its length in inches or in new money.....centimetres. I meantersay....how long is the piece of string?

I suppose 10 million carats of natural agate nuggets sounds so much better than 2,000 kilos of rock lumps. <a href="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fwww.smileycentral.com%252F%253Fpartner%253DZSzeb008%255FZNxpt484YYGB%2526i%253D26%252F26%255F32%255F5%2526feat%253Dprof/page.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/26/26_32_5.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D26%252F26_32_5%2526uiv%253D3.0/image.gif"></a> xxxxxxxxx

There was a similar situation with Rocks.TV in that Steve so involved the customer that a section of us seemed to feel some kind of ownership. After much refusal to go onto fb, I gave in to the desire to look at what everyone was doing and what news JM might be releasing, etc. only to come across this nightmare. Had my last look today and I shan't be going back for a long time, if at all. xxxxxxxxx

Oh, about 15 inches or so - unless you're a man of course then it's 20! :cheeky: xxxxxxxxxx

I have had the odd look at the facebook page as the presenters keep telling us how friendly and lovely it all is....... I disagree.

There seems to be the usual real mix of people that you would expect on such a page - but it does have the two extreme ends of the spectrum.
As you say there are those for whom JM can do no wrong and then there are the ones who go on and on and on about small matters that could easily be fixed by a ring to customer services. Of course there is method in the madness as invariably someone from JM gets involved and a few little extras get put in the replacement orders to keep them sweet.

Oh and there are those who are never ever going to buy from JM again - until next time!

So I shall maintain my resolve to refrain from getting involved.

However I do enjoy JM - my fave presenter is Carol in case anyone is interested. Most of the presenters are quite good at telling us how many gemstones there are on a strand and the length of it but it is so annoying when they dont. With a bit of research you can find other suppliers for individual bits and pieces but for small volumes like I buy, it suits me to put in an occasional bigger order at the weekend and bank holidays for the p&p.

It has encouraged me to make my own jewellery for fun and occasionally for charity.

I'm with you on the Carol front. Mad as a box of frogs and lovely wivvit. xxxxxxxx
