Think you know qvc?

I very much doubt it as otherwise they would have pulled their socks up. They tried to nobble this forum before without success.

they would need to take on Trustpilot which is better known than us and where their rating is on a par with the likes of Ryan Air.

There are no words to describe how stale QVC are............oh ok then I’ll have a go. Compare Amazon to QVC and the difference to how they run a business is startling, even Ideal World do it better, capped postage, fast refunds and free returns and that’s what QVC should be doing but don’t, they’re stuck in 1993, even the music when you ring customer service has never changed since 1993 and that says it all really. QVC have so many overheads they have to charge a lot more for what you can buy cheaper elsewhere and don’t get me started on the price of their “fashion” and abysmal self serving presenters, trouble is they like to portray being high end because they’re expensive, that’ll be their downfall. Think you know QVC? I do believe we do 😂

Think again it says.

Then they proceed to show everything for women.

Talk about sexist.
'Demographically our customers are mainly female, aged between 35 and 65 and can be found across the whole of the UK. They tend to consume mainstream media and, of course, they all love to shop'.
The Q has always concentrated on female customers with hardly anything to attract, entice or tempt many men & they rarely have anything for children so could be called ageist as well.

We've said it all before; QVC is stuck in the past, resting on its laurels & still sees itself as THE department store on tv, & we all know what's happened to those out in the real world. It may have moved on from the original telephone ordering model but that's where innovation ends. I do a fair amount of online shopping, mainly with small companies, & I get fantastic service - low/free p&p, fast despatch, eco-friendly packaging & regular emails with offers & discount codes. There's one that specialises in plastc free products & the girl who owns it obviously knows how to market because a small free sample doesn't cost much but sent out to a customer who then orders it in full size & repeats that order is successful business planning. I had a welcome back email this week from Emma Bridgewater with 20% off code, I've been a QVC customer since day one, however, this fact has never been acknowledged by them. I'm still a customer because occasionally I see a pair of Clarks shoes worth buying & I do see some items I like then look for them elsewhere, usually finding something I like even more for less 😼

The first thing they need to address are some of their over paid, over indulged, talentless/pointless presenters. They cost too much in salary and freebies and even more off putting is the way they promote themselves and personal interests. People find this a huge turnoff. Why employ people who customers can’t watch? I have an interest in crafting and enjoy watching Create and Craft. There, the presenters and guests focus on talking about and demonstrating the product. None of the shouting, showing off about themselves, their lifestyles, holidays etc. Fed up of too many greedy, self centred show offs on QVC.

I may have watched QVC About 3 times in the last year. Its normally food hours I watch as you have Andi Peters and Dale Franklin trying to flog over expensive food.

If you know QVC, think again, why there ways havent changed since Julia first appeared.

I mainly watch IW or C&C yes there presenters are maybe a bit more rougher around the edges, but have personailty

Some things have changed. The presenters have become increasingly awful. I find the Create and Craft presenters watchable and likeable. How can the QVC bosses not see what has gone wrong?

John B used to “pop in” because he luvvvved Q, then he had his own toiletries range so had even more of an excuse to be there but all gone in a puff of smoke, no poppin* in no range no mention of him.

The reason the management don’t do anything is because they are either physically or mentally of the same age the presenters/BAs act, 66 going on 11. All you have to do is look at Arsebook Liamx and mates, the fact that Chunts and JR’s daughters were management interns to understand the type of person they are so keen to attract as customers.

They also think that the original customers must be in care homes by now, any day they will sell us pads, comodes, and drinking cups, after all we are 55+ so surely are on our last legs.

They could get rid of some of the models on beauty shows as well.
The ones who sit there spraying perfume.....WE CAN'T SMELL IT. (sorry for shouting)
or washing their hands in a bowl of murky water, we know how to wash our hands!
And be smug arses all the time they are doing it - yes L’Occitaine I’m looking at you.

It was bad enough listening to their personal lives before they were armed with ****** iPads in the studio. Now they cant keep their eyes off them, even when the guest is talking, the camera occasionally catches them with their eyes down. Its downright rude apart from anything else. Then we have to endure their Blogs and now we're into sodding Podcasts - (which I never saw the point of either, and rather stick pins in my eyes than listen to them). You rarely if ever see a presenter on IW with one on air.

Their job first and foremost is to describe and 'present' an item for sale. Nothing more. They are not totally at fault though, to a large degree the gullible, idiotic and pathetic viewers are as much to blame. They're sycophants, they praise, commiserate and congratulate the presenters on everything from having an operation to taking the cat to the vets !! They feel that 'communicating' with someone off the tele is a big deal, and "oooooh she answered me !!" gasp/faint, and think they're suddenly best mates with Flint/Keenan/Chuntly etc . I don't buy into the explanation either, that these are people on their own who are lonely, and want a friend, well if they are then they should get a dog.
