It's nice to see Jill on tonight, and she's acting pretty normally, but her voice is a bit sotto voce - a bit like when you've had a bad cold or flu, and your voice isn't back to full volume and power. Hopefully it will improve as time goes on.

Jill was on the midnight Lola Rose TSV hour with Anna from LR, and at the end of the hour gave a short but heartfelt thank you to everyone who had sent her so many good wishes. Her voice wasn't the same as it used to be, still quite breathy and a tiny bit unsteady, but Anna really helped out by doing a lot of the talking towards the end.

Lovely to have you back, Jill, but I hope you work within your comfort zone, and if you ever read this, take care.

I started another thread before I realized that this one was the place to post, but it's nice to have you back, Jill, but whatever is or was wrong, I hope you look after yourself and protect your voice. It was also nice to see Anna talking so much to help Jill out towards the end because she was gasping a bit at the end of sentences and didn't have as much strength to her voice. Take care, Jill.

I remember when she was off for quite a while the last time with a throat problem, a number of speculations what the problem was. We were asked not to do that which is fine. But I think she had a major problem not just a normal sore throat problem. Hoping Jill is finally got it sorted and getting better.

Round London we have had over a week of hot sunny days. All Jill would need is her garden for a real tan.
All gone today, sadly we are back to grey and drizzly again!

As someone who’s had a lot of voice problems/loss, it’s exhausting and the knock on effect of frustration is difficult. Best wishes to her but feel retirement may be needed to protect her voice further as the voice projection needed to present puts added strain on vocal chords. Hope I’m wrong.

Although she is someone I tend to turn over from quickly, I am sorry to hear this as I would wish ill health on no one.

Chronic ill health, or recurrent ill health are both exhausting to deal with. It is awful if there is no clear-cut path back to good health, as hope is one of the best supporting medications out there.
I hope Jill can either find a balance, or the courage to call it quits with a job that is hard to sustain when you have throat problems.
