I hope you won't think me boring but I thought that, given some of the less than happy experiences with GTV of late, it's time for an updated "my favourite items" thread. I'm sure that many of us have acquired a few new pieces since the last "faves" thread. Anyway, I hope it will cheer us up and make for smiles :) rather than frowns

It's not meant to be a brag & boast party (atleast I hope you won't think it is lol) but the whole point is, if a piece of pretty jewellery makes you smile (or makes you drift to the kerb when admiring it cough cough...), then it should be celebrated. :D

Being a Gemini who typically can't make her mind up, I've set a limit of 5 pieces (or sets) maximum - goodness knows I couldn't even filter down to my fave 3 (unless it's the 3 that I wear most of the time) so what the heck lol...

To kick us off, I'll put forward the following:

Diamond solitaire - which has now pretty much replaced my original engagement ring (yep I'm a fickle cow!):

Diamond eternity band which I wear most days stacked with a solitaire or eternity ring:

http://www.gemstv.co.uk/Shop/productDataSheet.jsp?productid=33100&menuselection=2

tanzanite bracelet, which gets worn most days as I wear alot of purple/lilac/cornflower blue tops. In fact I feel naked without it haha:

Pink diamond pendant - there's something mesmerising about diamonds, especially pink ones and when linked to a heart shape, I'm a goner lol:

http://www.gemstv.co.uk/Shop/productDataSheet.jsp?productid=25703&menuselection=2

Yellow diamond ring - a wee cracker sourced by the lovely DiamondLyn for me. It brings a little sunshine :) into my life just like our Lyn does :D

so what little gems put a smile on your face or you couldn't bear to be without??

What a lovely sparkly bunch of goodies Sammi - I can absolutely see why you love to wear them and why they make you smile :):):) Off to my own box to see what I can find.....

I love my yellow diamond ring and my ceylon sapphire ring too, id love a tanzanite bracelet though yours is very pretty

They're all beautiful Sammi. Crikey, I didn't know Gems did VS1 diamonds - what a find with your eternity ring. I can see why you wear your Tanzanite bracelet a lot - it's so pretty and pink diamonds - well what can I say? WOW!

I'm a Gemini too, so I'll probably be back next year when I can make up my mind which pieces I love the best!

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to post my favorite Gems items...I always meant to do this in a previous thread but never got the chance before it disappeared when the hard drive went. :(
I love your pieces, by the way, Sammi. Very classy...I especially like the diamond solitaire, drool, drool :D.

I love this ring and wear it regulary.

Incredibly inexpensive for such a well made ring. It sits at an angle and looks like it could just fly off my finger, a really nice feature.
http://www.gemstv.co.uk/ProductDataSheet.jsp?productid=106246

I adore opals and these are the loveliest I possess. The colours don't show in the link but they flash electric blues, greens and red.
http://www.gemstv.co.uk/ProductDataSheet.jsp?productid=74004

I know black diamonds are not to everyones taste but after all the admiring comments this ring attracts I have made this one of my top 5.
http://www.gemstv.co.uk/ProductDataSheet.jsp?productid=56602

This is not the best quality paraiba and I'm fairly sure it has a window but when the light catches it the right way it looks like a neon light has been switched on.

I've had a recent fall out with Gems TV after seeing a ring I had purchased go for a lot less only after the return date had passed by a couple of days (I'm talking hundreds of pounds less). However, when I look at some of the stunning jewellery I have bought...I guess you can't have the 'yin' without a little bit of 'yan'.

hi we have similar tastes,i am too a lover of opals,my bracelet is lovely though the pic doesnt do it justice ..82943, 122914 my black diamond i wear alot love it..93924 a ruby that i wear most days..114826 this opal pendant is stunning the colour play is immense...64482 a paraiba which i like to wear though i dont know if its a good one but i liked it..... there is plenty more!!!!;)

I hope you'll feel able to post something way before that Mel!

As for the pendant, it languished in my box for ages and ages before I took to wearing it regularly and now it's a firm favourite. I know we tend to be cyclic with outfits and jewellery, so perhaps something else will take its turn this time next year lol.

girls I love the pearls and the opals - just smashing. I love pearls but don't own any from GTV, apart from a single one within a gold heart pendant. As for your PTs, well you need an armoured truck for them - they're huge lol.

Posted before many times but still my favourites

<a href="http://s134.photobucket.com/albums/q107/jantaculum/?action=view&current=IMGP2669.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q107/jantaculum/IMGP2669.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s134.photobucket.com/albums/q107/jantaculum/?action=view&current=IMGP2617.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q107/jantaculum/IMGP2617.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

The new blue diamond pendant may well be a long-term favourite but it's hard to tell yet as I haven't had it long enough!

And you just can't go wrong with tanzanite, I was glad I got this while it was still Quad A and not Majestic

Sorry Sammi hun but I won't be posting on this thread because I don't think that GemsTV need any good publicity at the moment. The way they're treating their customers is disgraceful.

Sammi, love all your diamonds, can we see a new pic of your teal blue one perlease?

Huggles and Marie, love your black diamonds in particular and the opal bracelets - gorgeous. Very pretty PT's too.

Now then, I thought I'd have a good rummage in my jewellery box to find some favourites that I may not have confessed to at the time....

These all go back to the days when Gems was new and exciting to me and I'd never seen anything like the choice they offered. Steve was in his pomp and the customer was king. They may not be expensive or unusual but they still put a smile on my face! :D

Russian alexandrite - why didn't I buy more of it when I could?
http://www.gemstv.co.uk/Shop/productDataSheet.jsp?productid=46495

Brazilian Paraiba tourmaline - I got so excited when I saw this I made OH phone up for it as I was like jelly! Angeline at her best!
http://www.gemstv.co.uk/Shop/productDataSheet.jsp?productid=47605

Hot pink sapphire - it's really pink! Another purchase from the lovely Angeline!
http://www.gemstv.co.uk/Shop/productDataSheet.jsp?productid=60675

Ceylon Padparadscha sapphire - or not? I love it anyway. :p
http://www.gemstv.co.uk/Shop/productDataSheet.jsp?productid=57751

Brazilian kunzite - nothing like the Patrokes but so sparkly and a design I love. :)
http://www.gemstv.co.uk/Shop/productDataSheet.jsp?productid=58555

So that's my five, I've enjoyed looking back at my old stuff remembering what a buzz I got from it all at the beginning.

why am I not surprised?!

eeeeee Gillybean that PT ring of yours would sit beautifully alongside my diamond rings of the same style lol ooh go on, can I can I??? you wouldnt lend us your patroke so how about the PT Mrs? pleez pretty pleez?

and how can one not adore that gorgeous blue diamond pendant of Janty's? it is just sooooooo lush. I have my eye on one on another site for when my big lottery win hits my bank account pml. god don't I wish....

it did all used to be a buzz didn't it. it was a fab time while it lasted. have been lucky to get all sorts of things I'd never otherwise have had through my hands. shame I couldnt keep them all, but it was a great experience. and yeah why didn't I get more Russian alex - I only ever bought two pieces, and sold one of them on in a cash crisis

Gillybean, will send you a PM about the teal diamond sweetie.

Wow wow and wow again

Some really pretty pieces here girls - brings out my magpie tendencies lol.

I am not really into tv channel jewellery to be honest - would prefer to handle it first - (oooooh missus )and have loads of trays brought out to tempt me lol....but it's hard to deny the appeal when you see pieces such as those.

Encouraging for the Gems fans that despite some bad incidences, they do get things right and do have satisfied customers. I always judge a company on it's efforts to put things right rather than what they have done wrong. Not many organizations are squeaky clean when it comes to customer service.

I am sure your collections give you heaps of pleasure and compliments. :D

Shame their packaging looks so dodgy and slap dash.

I'm like you Ceri I like to have a good look and feel before I buy and Gems don't do rings to fit me which puts me off but some of your pieces of jewelery are beautiful ladies.:D

mine is:

this last one I have worn as a wedding ring since the day I got it. I always wanted a wedding ring with diamonds but after buying a money pit of a house we just couldn't afford so when I got this for an anniversary present I thought it quite fitting that I swapped them over.

All lovely Darls - the famous Darls range is still looking gorgeous.

But that wedding ring ..............gobsmackingly gorgeous.:)

and this deserves a post of its own because it was a gift from my kids, just because they love me, 2 valentines day ago

To be honest Darls, your GTV things are the only ones I have ever liked from there. I really don't understand why people buy from them - it's cut priced sh*te most of the time, then people complain when they receive it ... what do they expect ffs?

do you know Hampy, that ring is no longer 'satinised' (not surprised as its always cleaning using harsh cleaners etc.) but its even more fantastic now.
