According to the Mail, Liz is a diet Guru and can help you lose weight and get a flat stomach by looking after your gut bacteria.

She has a new book out on the subject.Wonder if it will appear on Q.

From what I can see its similar information that is available all over the Internet.

There is alot of intresting research going into the effector but bacteria in health.

That is how she started on TV. She did a lifetime thing on This Morning way back in early 90s. She was brought in to help Lorraine Kelly lose weight after having a baby. Then got her own show weekdays afternoons, talking about health, diet and beauty.

Her jewellery range did not do well on QVC way back, no not the one around now at ££££.

I will take evidence based research and advice from medical professionals such as doctors and dieticians before I believe anything from these people who turn their hand to becoming diet and lifestyle gurus.

I remember Liz's short-lived afternoon show - during one episode she showed a weird space-alien-looking fungus she was growing in a jar in her airing cupboard! I can't remember whether she was drinking the liquid in the jar or otherwise ingesting the fungus! I wasn't tempted! :puke:

I saw this and just laughed. She seems to be the guru of anything that will make her even more money. I am not interested.

In today's offering her " healthy" berry crumble has 744 calories a portion!!

Oh Liz whatever next, astute business woman no doubt but health and diet guru.....not a chance!!

I do wish she'd disappear end just enjoy spending her millions, I don't buy her saccharine sweetness for one second.

I hadn't seen the episode but I think she may had been talking about kombucha tea, it's a fermented drink.

Couldn't agree more. It's like all these "clean eating" proponents that set themselves up as experts and make a fortune blogging / publishing books with no relevant credentials whatsoever!

I have said this before on ST, when she appeared on QVC it was all sweet smiles and nodding in agreement. But her eyes pure shark. You have seen Great White's on TV, swimming along with the black dead eyes looking for the next lunch.

I suppose shes cashing in on the latest fads while her name is well known. Can't have too many millions ......

I know there's a lot of the same advice out there on the net because I researched to try to naturally sort out digestive problems caused by taking several types of antibiotic.

The acid/alkaline theory gets me .No one can agree on what it is let alone if it works.

Its a bit like beauty products ,there are so many it gets confusing as to what works.

Avon bought Liz Earle for several millions back in 2012, no official amount can be found, but I swear on a forum it was mention at the time for XX millions. She was multimillionaire. Then Avon sold it to Boots/Walgreens for 140 million.

No amount of money is too much for the likes of these people. Michele Mone(y) is another. They don't stick to what they know, oh no it has to be jewellery, perfume, housewares, etc because their name is their 'brand' !

I've noticed that James Wong - garden Presenter at the Chelsea Flower Show, is also shown on the Liz Earle promo as a fancy named lab technician, and this weekend in one of the supplements he has 4 pages of 'healthy' recipes !!!!! Who the hell is he ?????

I'm really sick to the eyeteeth of these multi faceted slebs giving it their all. Are we the only country where this happens ? because when I spent time in Switzerland their tv stations and programmes had no hint of being sleb orientated. We Brits must be so shallow.

Yes I don't think these "slebs" have ever heard the phrase "Jack of all trades, master of none" never has a phrase been more fitting to the wannabes that appear on QVC.

Mind you that applies to the presenters too, yes Debbie Flint, that means you "When The Fat Lady Slims" indeed. :mysmilie_15:

Diddy Me Hall.........fashion Guru.
Alison Keenan/Chuntley........jewellery specialists
And let's not forget Alison Young........beauty "expert"
Debbie Flint/Queen Julia/Princess Jackie........authors
Debbie Flint (again).......Faulty Towers
Oh how they wish. :mysmilie_17:

Oh cripes what a yawn fest .....food is emotional I think ....the probiotic companies are being boosted and no doubt Liz has jumped right up on that weight insecurity band wagon ....I think along with the porn "industry" ...the diet industry must be totally raking it in and has been for years ....
Let's see how long this latest venture lasts ...

It's always amused me that Liz and AY don't seem to get on, they put on a front of course, but that's what it appears to be...a front.

I watched the Gatineau hour last night, Alison stated that if you want anti aging, go for Gatineau, as natural and aromatherapy ranges do nothing for your skin, other than smelling nice. She doesn't say such things when on with Decleor and Elemis.
