Acer aspire one

Hi did anyone purchase this tsv from the other day. I got the purple one,
love the laptop but It has a very pungent chemical plastic burning smell and gets very hot straightaway. I have only had It on three times but the smell and heat is not going. It also would not come out of sleep mode. Has anyone experienced this also.

I got it in blue and haven't had any problems whatsoever, def no over heating or the smelly side either....

I'd give Customer services a ring and see what they say..... Good Luck, and let us know how you get on.

send it back and get a dell or if you can stretch to it i have a sony vaio even better than dell.
acer has never inspired me. my friend got one and nothing but trouble.:wonder:

Get a replacement, sounds like a bad heatsink/fan.

Never had a problem with an Acer - too be honest most laptops are pretty much the same until you get to the really expensive ones.
