I posted the details below in the Bargain Hunter section & the post was closed after 4 replies.
I was hoping for a forum discussion on this & therefore unsure why it was closed.
My post was not intended as a criticism and I hope it didn’t come across that way.


“Changes to bargain section.

I wondered why I hadn’t seen many January sales things posted on the forum.

I’m sure there were reasons for it to be moved, however I thought I’d do a comparison of numbers posted from the new thread from the start (approx Mid August 21, I believe) to end of January 2022 against the old thread from Mid Aug 20 to end of Jan 2021.

New moved thread:
15 posted in August 2021 in all categories
11 posted in September in all categories
15 posted in October in all categories
16 posted in November in all categories
15 posted in December in all categories
5 posted in January 2022 in all categories.
Total 77 posted.

Qvc brand not on telly:
12 posted second half of August 2021
11 posted in September
23 posted in October
30 posted in November
11 posted in December
20 posted in January 2020
Total 107 posted.


Normally those postings would have allowed me to get the heads up on presents early, so I’m missing the Good Friday & January sales deals.
I can honestly say I also forget to post deals after the changes.
I don’t know what the answer is, I just wanted to do an analysis.”

Unfortunately issues like this are not up for general discussion as there are always various factors as to why changes have been made. Graham and myself have made it clear that there were good reasons why the change was made.

As I said in your original thread if you or any forum member wish to make comments about ways in which the Bargains section could be further improved then please contact @Graham and let him know your ideas but please be aware reverting to how the thread/section used to be is very unlikely.

I really miss the old bargain hunter section of our forum. The one that actually worked, because yes, people posted stuff in there. Just saying.

I miss it too. I know we can’t have it back where it was, but I wish we had more postings.

Oh? Wonder why we cannot discuss things? Excepting defamatory/libel/Hate/ etc, of course
Isn't this classed as a discussion forum? Perhaps I'm mistaken here?

I do try not to comment on people I don’t personally know, I do find it disturbing to state that someone hates/despises someone when they don’t know them.

It is not appropriate to explain the reasons to members.
