No, Liz Earle haircare isn’t new.
But the conditioners (and the wonderful Botanical Shine Nourishing Hair Oil) went away – purely and simply because the Kenyan oil which was at the heart of the conditioners in this fantastic haircare range was unavailable, due to drought. (Oh, the joys of working with natural ingredients…!)
After quite some research, an alternative nourishing botanical has been sourced (and with a reliable supply): the ‘desert jewel’ (as they’re calling it) of Kalahari melon oil: light, mega-conditioning, and protective against heat damage. (Interestingly, Liz and her team have discovered that when using the oil, blow-drying time is speeded up.)
As before, there’s just one shampoo (echoes of the single cleanser in her range), but a choice of three conditioners – for normal, dry or damaged and fine/oily hair. (As time goes on, and her own hair naturally acquired smoothness and shine, Liz found she could move from the dry/damaged to the fine/oily option.) And the Botanical Shine Nourishing Hair Oil is just brilliant on a daily basis, with a drop between the palms, skimmed through hair to tame flyaways and deliver shine, without weighting hair down or leaving it greasy at all.
