It was always gravy browning sprayed onto the carpets for the ‘old’ look. Same with the kitchen demos for blue magic. Smeared everywhere which is then really easy to clean off.

Molly is a producer who has taken shifts as a floor manager and is popping up as a guest on shows they don’t want to foot the bill to pay for an actual guest/model. The money would be better as a guest, but since those are being used on fewer shows it probably works out wiser to remain taking...

At IW, the Shop Extra presenters were all on staff until the final few months when Shaun Crawley was taken off and made freelance. They’re all freelance at Shop Extra

Exactly this. They haven’t expanded in the slightest as the number of live hours has remained the same. It’s on a 3 month trial the last I heard and any shop extra ‘staff’ are only freelance, not contractual employees

They have not. Also the production crew aren’t hired per se, they’re all freelance.

I've gone to the ASA about Shop Extra already

Just in sales, not accounting for outgoings.

Most likely. From what I’ve heard from people working there they’re making less than 5k per night

As I’ve said before, if there’s a moderator or admin I’m able to send proof to i’d be happy to as I completely understand some of your doubts about me being a legitimate ex colleague. The only person it wouldn’t surprise me having inside knowledge would be sally, who seemed to be talking to...

By the end we were only selling things from our warehouse which is why when the website went down we were still able to sell rattan through the eBay store as it came from onsite. This is what I believe to be the case anyway as that is what we were told is happening, I didn’t frequent the...

Unfortunately for everyone management wanted more space in the warehouse and so rattan was on over and over again, also because it was one of the few products that were selling consistently well that had a lot of units to shift. Apparently this was to make room for new Frasers stock coming in...

Presenters had no information at all. When the decision was made to come off air, which came during that final hour, it was for ‘warehouse staff to catch up with packing orders’. Management assured all staff that we would be live in a few days and so when we all turned up for work as requested...

Unfortunately that’s just Sally. She was doing that way before the change

Shop Extra looks cheap and rushed together and isn’t performing well according to sources which doesn’t surprise in the slightest. I don’t think it will exceed 3-4 months

Exactly what we all said. I think he believed he could transform the channel into social media selling, but wouldn’t invest the money for a social media team and instead told staff members to create shoppable content. Yes that’s exactly why new faces started appearing. And ironically, it was...

Oh absolutely! All the stock we had was available on all shows, nothing was kept behind. The issue was when a show was doing well and selling many units, people would be frantically on the phones buying more without discussing with other parties, making it look like it was there all along. IW...

This is only from what I can remember being discussed on here so feel free to shoot me more direct questions but script reading was a big one that has never been the case. A lot of presenters and staff did actually buy and believed in some of the products sold. All stock calls during shows are...

I can provide proof to a moderator/admin if you like but I’d rather stay anonymous for obvious reasons

FixIts did terribly and only appeared in the last few months of Ideal World. They quickly disappeared again when they performed awfully and just became a side mention. LAB and My Instant Effects are notorious for being bad sales alongside garden tools. H2O generally did well though

He knew everyone in the building on a first name basis, and that says a lot. He made such an effort with every person but also each of his shows. One of the friendliest people I've ever met and easiest to work with. Not got a single bad word to say about him

Firstly, everyone is aware of the forums but only some read. It’s quite fun seeing how much you lot can get dead on but also how much you can be completely off the mark. The best presenter to work with by far was Peter Simon. An absolute gentleman who went out of his way to be lovely and...
