There was once a kit that JM sold that contained Jet. (An organic carbon-based stone, that is made from fossilised coal.) This is completely black, and has a subtle sheen. It is one of my favourites...

Has anyone noticed that? If you say anything to call JM up on anything, you get rained on by the dieharders! I asked why they measure beads in carats, (when they are not the Big 5). And I get, "crystal beads are lead crystal" etc...didn't say they were!
