TJC buying and bringing back Ideal World.....

Just now watching someone from TJC beauty, can’t remember her name, scary looking woman with very long extensions and today dressed as a shepherdess. The chat between the two presenters was abysmal. They’re selling an air fryer and the woman is asking the other if it’s like an oven. She is selling a mini convection oven and doesn’t know how it works at all. This is on Ideal World btw, just jaw droppingly bad.The other lady is bright orange.

Does this mean shop extra goes
Does look like a mis-step starting SE, without a Freeview channel. Ok, so not a costly addition to start SE as a C&C sideline the way they have, but if serious then needed SE on Freeview.
Or maybe I'm underestimating the Sky/Sat/online viewership.

Whether there's room for SE and new IW, we'll see. Probably room provided they can turn a profit. Would love to know the SE sales figures!

It’s shocking, isn’t it. As per another post, they make Peter Simon look professional. Did TJC really need a quick return on their investment? Surely allowing this shambles to go to air will affect future sales. Nowhere to demonstrate anything, zero prep, just so unprofessional.

I wonder if TJC management decided they couldn't afford to wait 3 months till the new studios are ready, maybe afraid Shop Extra would gain traction as the new alternative for former IW viewers/customers especially in the run up to xmas, so launched the channel early to try and attract some of those folks before they get too attached/loyal to shop extra. The result of launching early is a channel that looks like it's being run by amateurs on a shoestring budget without a decent range of products.

I saw those two the night before too and thought it was the apprentice on again. Rob was on after them and at least made ot look a bit more professional.

That could have been Natalia - to be fair to her she's been doing purely beauty on TJC & TJC Beauty, and now she's having to do everything, so that must be a tricky adjustment. They really have been thrown into this. It's really interesting to see how they're slotting it all together. A lot of the products seem to be leftover stock from TJC, which is fine and to be expected, but today I flicked it on and some earbuds had 'TJC Essentials' on the case! The set is pretty rudimentary too, though apparently they're getting a nice new one in due course.

Yes it was Natalia. TBH she’s been on Selly Telly for quite some time so there’s no excuse for poor presentation. And any good salesperson can sell you anything if they have done the prep. Which no one appears to do on TJC Lite.

The other day when the two women were trying to demonstrate a vacuum sealer machine, it was obvious that neither of them had even looked at the instructions before going to air. They tried to use it four times without success. It was unintentionally hilarious to watch though.Let’s hope it gets better.

When you see people like two hapless buffoons, you realise how good people like Mike Mason are. You might not like his selling techniques, but boy, he does his product prep, and does the job on-air really well.

They have acquired the name, not sure why because it left many customers dissatisfied after the last incarnation went bust.
It’s hardly a name to be trusted especially if the shop extra mob come scuttling back.
Even a bad name that is recognised nationwide is better than the bland identity they have right now. Like when someone takes over a pub and have a big sign 'Under new management'. They have bought the recognisable elements including customer info. Perhaps it will help focus things for them as they seem to be in a 'finger in all the pies' stage themselves.

Lindsey is very professional but I cant watch her anymore because she’s developed a habit of making pouty lips if she’s presenting with another person. She does it while they speak.
