Our existing standard delivery has been upgraded to premium delivery which offers a next working day service from the date of despatch. Although this improved service means that we have had to increase the price, it does mean that you will receive your order earlier. £6.95

We all lead busy lives, and sometimes it is difficult to rearrange your schedule in order to be home for your delivery. It is also useful for those times when you don’t want to miss out on a piece, but need to manage your budget. By delaying delivery for a couple of weeks, you get the jewellery you want but a time when you can afford it. The new named weekday service allows you to choose any weekday in the next three weeks on which you can have your order delivered. £9.95

Guaranteed next day delivery is ideal for those times when you have left your gift buying too late or just can’t wait to get your hands on your new piece of jewellery. Just place your order before 3pm Monday – Thursday and we will despatch it immediately for delivery the next day. £9.95

For those of you that live a bit further a field this service takes just two days to deliver from the date of despatch.£9.95

This option is ideal if you would like to save on postage by combining your orders during the week and then receive one delivery – just complete your order by Friday 2am. Alternatively, if you want a Saturday delivery but are ordering on a Friday, just place your order by 3pm.£14.95

We used to get a named delivery service of up to ten days on the old £6.95 charge until a few months ago. I suppose they stopped doing it when they did, knowing they were going to charge us extra for it as soon as they had re-organised the whole p & p range.

Their p & p charges were one of the few shining beacons remaining. Whilst still much fairer than most other channels this now is just another of many downward shifts in the whole experience with Gems.

Me too, they're really doing everything they can to put you off ordering!!! I was only remarking the other day that compared to TJC, Gems' p&p was really reasonable - that'll teach me to open my big gob!!!

I just knew there had to be someone behind this <a href="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fwww.smileycentral.com%252F%253Fpartner%253DZSzeb008%255FZNxpt484YYGB%2526i%253D36%252F36%255F1%255F3%2526feat%253Dprof/page.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_1_3.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D36%252F36_1_3%2526uiv%253D3.0/image.gif"></a>

That is ridiculous! I don't want to pay extra for next day delivery from the date of dispatch, when sometimes they don't dispatch it for several days anyhow. I'm not so desperate for my bling that I want to pay an extra pound in order to get it a day earlier.

p&p charges are steep anyway - £5.95 is really quite a lot, especially on the low value items. I can understand why all the channels have to charge this because of insurance etc, but really, why hike it up even more?

The Post Office charge only £4.95 for Special Delivery guaranteed to be delivered by 1pm the following day with compensation up to £500 so why are Gems charging £9.95?? Are they so desperate that they need to make £5 profit per order out of the postage?? I haven't purchased from Gems for over a year when I used to buy weekly and they wonder why they've lost so many good customers?? Get a grip Gems!

Yeah, fine, but when will "despatch" be? Not good enough, Gems!
