Julian Ballantyne was "ill" so Tim Goodwin had to stand in for him at the last moment.

He was not pleased, and said JB was "as ill as a newt" ie drunk.

TG was never seen on QVC again, and he was my favourite presenter for tech.

I saw it all live.
